My family absolutely loves this place! The Momos are to die for! And a Tibetan restaurant is such a rare find anywhere in the states! Don’t pass this up. Also you get to eat while surrounded by images of the Dali Lama, Buddha, and other significant figures of Tibetan Buddhism in a simple laid back environment. They also have a lunch buffet!
lovely delicious food and great friendly service. Large portions, fresh, and extremely tasty!
Delicious, nuanced, healthy flavors with generous helpings, and very friendly staff! Definitely go!
Had lunch here when I was in town for a music festival. Had never eaten Tibetan food so was excited to try it on a cold and rainy day. We ordered a few items, I the sampler plate and my BF got the mushrooms and eggplant dish. We also go the Tibetan tea (this comes with cow milk already in it) also wasn’t a fan of it. My fault for not asking what was in it. All other items were vegan. Would go here again. We were so full much of the day and had us ready for festivities.
We had the buffet lunch here after haven’t been here for two years. I’d say the food is more accurately rated 3.5 star rather than 4. I applaud the prevalence of vegan options and some of them are not carbs. But unlike Indian and Nepalese food, the food is a bit more bland so some people who like Indian food might find it less interesting. I am too ignorant to tell whether the food is authentic or not. The stirfry zucchini, green bell pepper and celery was good! Lentil soup is quite good. The momo (fried dumplings) I used to love is less outstanding as they were not cooked to order. But I do like the buffet setting as I get to try more things and it is reasonably priced.
I visited Cafe Shambala on a friend’s recommendation and really enjoyed the experience. The space is cozy and welcoming. While the lunch buffet looked great, we ordered individual dishes.
The fried veggie buns were excellent, with a tasty filling and a nice contrast between the crispy outside and soft inside. I had the lamb curry as my main, which came with a great mix of tender meat and vegetables in a savory, mildly spicy sauce. We also had the chai, which was perfectly spiced and a great way to round out the meal.
Overall, the food was flavorful and satisfying. I’ll definitely be back to try more.
So delicious! The veggie platter is great and the vegan momos are to die for
The veg fried momos are amazing!
I went in with high expectations based on the ratings and my love for momo. The fried vegetarian momo were great, especially when paired with the red spicy sauce!!! The spicy sauce was just the PERFECT level of hotness for me and made it a worthwhile experience! I would have appreciated the momo better if the stuffing was of vegetables instead of potatoes and skin of the momo was much thinner! The vibe was decent and inviting! The menu is large, and they have the option to order à la carte or savor from buffet.

What an amazing little restaurant! My husband and I ordered the beef fried momo, veggie spring rolls, a side of rice, and 2 mango lassi, all of which were amazing and very affordable ??
The food was lavishly seasoned and well prepared. The mango lassi was silky smooth and deeply refreshing.
Service was 10/10, we really appreciated the free sauces to go!

Glad to try it, but felt disappointed compared to the great ratings. Went for the buffet lunch and it was pretty mediocre. I ordered off the menu and the food was hot but took a very long time to come out. Flavors are alright but pretty mild and the food sizes for the prices do not make sense. The one person working was really nice but seemed unprepared to answer questions or be prompt. Food was fine but not very high quality or fresh, with overcooked vegetables. Do not seem to be a great choice if you have strict dietary needs or need no cross contamination. Even the vegetarian options do not contain a lot of protein options. Mainly veggies and rice.
It is in a great location and is a nice environment, but very underwhelming.
