I placed an order for my daughter’s birthday cake over a week in advance and specifically told them we needed it ready by 3 PM for a timed event. When we arrived on Saturday, November 1st around 4:15 PM, they told my wife it would take 30 more minutes to finish. We asked if they could deliver it since we were on a strict schedule at a children’s jump center, but they refused. After waiting about 20 minutes, my wife went back inside and was told that our cake had not been made at all, and that no one was going to make it. We’ve ordered cakes here for the past 4 years, but this experience completely broke our trust. To make matters worse, when we asked if they could at least decorate one of the ready-made cakes with a simple “Happy Birthday” message, they refused again. Honestly, avoid this place if you have a special event. They make you pay in full when you order, but clearly don’t deliver on their commitments. We were left without a cake for our daughter’s birthday….. extremely disappointing and unprofessional!

I called CakesbyEdith because they had the best reviews but they far exceeded my expectations!!! We live in AZ and we were in UT for FanX. It was my sister’s 21st birthday and she was “gothic” inspired this year :) 21 only happens once so I wanted everything to be perfect. I was hesitant because I didn’t know the bakeries personally and I was relying solely on reviews. After receiving costly quotes from 2 other local bakeries for their “starting” price, CakesbyEdith quoted over a half less than what the others were charging for the exact same size with all the details. After showing them a picture of the cake I was requesting, they assured me it was possible and well within the timeframe I was asking. The finished product did not disappoint and it was almost identical to the inspo pic I had sent them. A 6” triple-layered round on top of a 9” triple-layered round base. And the taste - Oh. My. Goodness! It was chocolate on chocolate and absolutely amazing! We were a party of 10 and barely made it through the 6” round. It was so decadent and just as delicious a few days, as we had plenty left over. It also traveled well, considering its size. I honestly can’t say enough about our amazing experience! It was everything we wanted it to be!!! Thank you so much!

I had contacted them after I picked up my cake to express a concern I had regarding the quality of handwriting that was used when decorating my wedding cake. I wish I remembered the name of the woman I spoke with but she was INCREDIBLY kind and really made an effort to express her appreciation toward me for letting them know my concern. So i needed a birthday cake spur if the moment for my dad who was turning 84 today . This was the first place to come up on my google and was just a 1.5 miles down the road from where i was at the moment so i said ok lets go see. Me and my friend walked in and immediately saw some cakes in the display and decided that we wanted to know between two different ones that were side-by-side as soon as the young man was done with the customer he was waiting on. He came over to take care of us told this one was a marble cake with strawberry filling, and that the other was a chocolate cake with strawberry filling we chose the marble cake. They asked immediately if we wanted it to be wrote on or if we would like some fruit put on top of the cake so we chose to have the cake wrote on. They took it back wrote on the cake box. It gave it to us and we brought it home. I had never been there before so I had no idea if this cake was going to be good or not. My entire family came over for my dad‘s birthday and we cut this cake. This cake is absolutely delicious. The cake is moist. The filling is perfect. The icing is great. I absolutely am so happy that I went in there today and got this cake that I definitely will be using them in the future and I will possibly be going in there to try out the other things such as their pastries and cookies that were in another display thank you so much For your customer service and for making my 84 year-old father‘s birthday one to remember!
