I have been going to Cancun for about 30 years; Alan Jr. opened this closer to me place and I like to give him my business to support him. Their food is always to my liking; I guess I enjoy Mayan style food. I enjoy other Mexican food in the area but this is my favorite.

As soon as we walked in-it was a hint of cerveza and chips..the PERFECT scent of good Mexican food to come! Red E II had no parking Red E I had a 60 minute wait..So glad we regrouped and stumbled on to this gem! Probably the meat Mexican food I've had in Utah..And I'm from Los Angeles..So, I know good Mx Food! Chips; Perfection. Salsa; tasty w out onion overpowering! My son had the special-Birria tacos..they looked amazing and he licked the plate..my Chicken tostada was perfect and filling! Prices are great, service was kind and prompt..we will be back muy pronto!!

The ladies working the front are the sweetest. Even though they have to be over worked, you would never guess.I wish they were open weekends. Sunday brunch here would be great.The enchilada sauce is incredible. Without spoiling anything, their recipe is the way their mothers taught them. I love it.

I can't believe I haven't heard more about Cancun Café because it's one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants I've tried in SLC. First off, their staff is extremely friendly and so much fun! Sometimes when eating out, servers seem really burnt out, but at Cancun Café, the servers were excited for their customers to be there. The chips are by far the best I've had in Salt Lake City and the food came out quickly and was delicious. I also couldn't believe how reasonable their prices are! They have $3 margaritas and $1 tacos on Tuesday which is absolutely unbeatable. The portions were generous, flavored well and I really enjoyed every aspect of eating here and will most certainly be a regular.

A hole-in-the-wall type location. The staff here is very friendly and they speak Spanish if you like. We sampled the carnitas platter. We found it okay. We also sampled the Cochinita platter. This is one of the best options to order. Their beer choice is good but the tequila options are to say the least meh. Another highlight is there dark salsa. FYI the guacamole served here is doctored factory product. It may convince you to believe that it is fresh. I believe this place will make do when you are hungry. They also have real Mexican soda drinks.

Delicious food! Great service! Shared the carnitas plate with my boyfriend and it was plenty for the both of us. They were super quick at getting the food out to us as well. Horchata was amazing. We will continue coming to this great little restaurant :)

We head here every Tuesday and for good reason! This is the only Cancun Cafe location that does Taco Tuesday. The salsas (especially verde) and carnitas are the best we've tried anywhere, including Mexico! Boss man Allen is also a genuinely good guy and always willing to go the extra mile for his guests--you're appreciated! Waitresses and hosts are also some of the most friendly ones we've had. Thank you all for providing awesome care to us guests! We will be back next week and the one after that for the foreseeable future.
