I really wanted to like it, but it was quite the disappointment. Everything tasted like bbq sauce. The Mac and cheese was basic and not as good as it was claimed. I was blown away at how pricey it was, and I found I was thinking how fast food would have been much better. We kept feeling like this was a prank, and there must be hidden cameras from the barbecue flavored bread jelly. ?Hours later we had to find other food to eat because we couldn't get the disgusting flavor of barbeque duck tacos out of our mouths. The best part was the service.

This place sucks, do not go here.We got the bacon jam, lemonade, black rice and oxtail risotto, and the butter burger. Total came out to about $73 not including tip.Bacon jam had way to much vinegar. It was coughing when I went to put it in my mouth because of the vinegar. It was barely edible. Also the brad that came with it was dry and barely toasted.Lemonade was way too sour and the honey in it did not jive well at all. Gave an off flavor.Black rice and oxtail risotto was just disgusting. Zero seasoning, the oxtail is shredded into the risotto so you couldn't even taste it/tell it was there. The portion was tiny for a whooping $18! The portion was about a cup.The butter burger was just boring and the meat was dry. With a name like butter burger, you expect the burger to be thick and juicy but it was a smashburger! It came with only cheese and pickles as toppings and if you wanted lettuce, tomatoes, or onions, you would have to ask for them. They don't even have plain onions, only pickled. What restaurant does not have plain onions?!Overall, please do not go here. It is extremely overpriced to intensely underwhelming and genuinely disgusting food. I would quite literally rather go to a McDonalds than eat here again.

Creative dishes. But we found the meats all had too much demiglaze (sugar), and black rice w oxtail was tasteless. We cleared our own plates, and had to ask for water refills, maybe just the server we had. Very LOUD.

When we just sat down, I ordered appetizers. We got one entree (of 6) 30 min later and when I asked about the appetizers the waitress explained this was a “free flowing kitchen and things will come out at odd times and when they are ready.” 40 min passes and still no appetizers and a couple entrees. I asked again about the appetizers and she said they'd check on them. At this point, children who hadn't received entrees were so hungry. At the one hour mark I asked about the appetizers and still she stated this was a “free flowing restaurant.” I saw this as a poor excuse for a slammed kitchen. Had she expressed this “free flowing” concept when we sat down, or said they are super busy, I would have either left or adjusted our order. When the bill came, she still had all the appetizers on the bill. Did she think we wouldn't check? I have had positive experiences here but bc of last night, I wouldn't return.

I’ve been going to Carson chicken for the 5 years ive resided here. I’ve loved her. Loved the bbq sauce chicken , killer shrimp (delicious new changes with that) and meatloaf. I also would get food delivery only for chicken. Went in today. Saw the menu has changed. Removed the meatloaf sandwich but didn’t have a replacement? Finally my chicken. Usually comes with three thighs. Oh no longer. Now in all their genius they didn’t reduce the price. No what they did was remove 1/3 of that entree away. I even spoke to the manager, who just came off ditzy. She offered nothing. Oh wait she offered to talk to chef and then she would want to talk to me after.she didn't decide to make another. Or decrease bill. I miss the prior manager. He knew what he was doing. The only positive was the server but honestly I don’t see him staying. Why would he? I serious think I will never go back. Sloppy and inconsiderate. You have successfully lost two of your best customers.

Let me start by saying the Devil's eggs were ON POINT! Savory, salty, crunchy, creamy, touch of sweet, dang. Amazing. It just hurts that it's $14 for 2 whole eggs. #sayurpoorw/osayingurpoorEverything else would have been good except for having one food-ruining overbearing quality. The fried chicken skins were spicy and both crunchy and chewy, and the smoked honey was a great dip for them. Unfortunately, though, they were also so salty that after eating two each my wife and I couldn't really keep going. Way too salty. Couldn't finish them. The mac'n'cheese was hot and creamy, and a pretty generous portion size. The bread crumbs on top were great, too. However, all we could taste was garlic. Don't get me wrong, I love garlic, but imagine spoonful after spoonful of hot garlic. It gets old fast. Couldn't finish it.The chicken thighs were tender and juicy and the mustard-base sauce they use for them, mm mm mmmmmm, so good. But the char from the grill was just too dang heavy. Every single bite just tasted burnt. Would've been amazing if they had pulled it off the grill a minute or so sooner. Couldn't finish it.The brown butter bacon ice cream was DELICIOUS! Nice and subtly sweet and nutty, and the chewy bacon in it, dang. Loved it. Buuut the brownie that came with it seemed like it must've been barely thawed or something, because the only way we could eat it was for one of us to hold the plate with both hands while the other tried to cut through it with a spoon. Couldn't finish it.Service was good, except we could see no one was wearing gloves, and one of the guys was clearly on and off his phone while handling the food.Tldr; the food all would've been amazing except for each item having some aspect that totally ruined it. Except the Devil's eggs, which tasted amazing but are the biggest bankbreakers on the menu.

I never go out of the way to leave a negative review unless extremely poor and this was teh worst meal for the price I've had in SLC in the three years here. Chicken skin was horrendous and paired with wrong sauce. Salmon was overcooked and bland. Mac and Cheese was advertised by waitress as old fashioned and 'simple' but had so much truffle in it you couldn't taste anything else - even my GF only ate half her chicken sandwich. 150 bucks with a tip for 3 people to leave 80% of the food on the table and go to Delta Center and eat pretzels and pizza before the event. Insanely disappointing and would have been better off stopping at McDs on the way

The food is pretty good. I had all appetizers. It's a great date night place with fun food to try. I highly recommend it for the ambiance and the service, which I give a 10/10. I personally don't care for those things because all I really care about is the food. I'd give the food a 8/10 on food. Really solid place to eat. Will go again.

The chicken skins were extremely salty. The menu was very limited. And we called ahead about vegan and free options and was told that there were several. But when we got there, there was only one or two items that were vegan and free.

I had better steak on the creed cruise. The food was very salty and expensive for what it was. The servers were all very nice but overall the service was very slow. They brought out each of our dishes 10+ minutes apart. Advertised as tapas but wasn't.Music choices were interesting too.

The food was overly salty and the service was very slow. It was described as tapas style but the dishes were not paced well and several people in our party didn't get any dishes until the end.
