Super good food! And definitely some of the best pasta in utah!
Absolutely fantastic. Truly authentic Italian cuisine that is the best in the Salt Lake area. Wonderful experience, food is perfectly prepared, great wine list.
Very enjoyable dishes were incredible. The homemade gnocchi was the best I've ever had. My truffle pasta special was flavourful and had three perfect amount of sauce.
I'd love to do 5 stars but 4 is where it ended for a few reasons. But first I will say that the food is really really good and worth going to try. I just hope they make a few changes. We ordered a few different dishes but we are a big party and asked to order several of the same dishes to male it easier. We had the special that was (I cannot remember) but it was very very good. I'd recommend it.The seafood pasta, also really great flavorGnnociAnd ravioli. The issue with the ravioli was (you'll see in picture) was the sage butter sauce was more like pasta water and the sage I don't think was even cooked. So the ravioli by itself was great the sage butter sauce (pasta water) was a huge disappointment. I cook sage butter sauce all the time and this was not it. So I hope that gets fixed.Second the desserts were lack luster for sure. The tiramisu was good but not great and the fruit taste was the best. There was a custard something don't get it not amazing. They were won't of the chocolate tart. So sad. I'd love to see other dessert options. Even a Gelato. The food is worth the visit. We will go back. But because of the dessert and sage butter sauce I had to take one ? away.
Every bite I had at Celeste was a treat. There is so much love and attention to detail is put into each dish. My family was treated extremely well, two silly kids included. I would absolutely recommend a visit. A wonderful experience from start to finish.
Authentic Tuscany cuisine we did not expect to find in Salt Lake City. The choice of menu and the execution was spare, simplistic and extremely to the point. We love this bold unyielding confidence from the chef. The food reminds me of food cooked by my Tuscan friend's father, who hardly ever put more than 5 ingredients in a dish! More specifically we love love love the carpaccio. The daily special pasta in summer truffle tasted divine. An update here, we went back to the restaurant again and the pasta dish with pesto and shrimp is the crowd favorite.
I would highly recommend this place for any Italian food lover. Been a long time since I have had good authentic Italian food. I had the Ravioli Incavolti. The bread was sourdough bread was freshly baked.
This place is excellent! I have been coming here with my family for many years. We usually order the specials, always perfect. The people who work here are very nice and sweet. The place is the only place in Salt Lake City where you can get authentic Italian food. Definitely worth the price!
The food was excellent. Our waiter was Italian and very knowledgeable about the dishes. Would highly recommend this restaurant for an authentic Italian experience.
How is this place still in business!! Very rude customer service! They do not deserve to be in business. If you look at the low star reviews look at how the owners handle comments. A recent review with a comment from the owner - "Response from the owner18 hours ago, Yes do not come back thank you" Multiple times in different reviews they tell customers to go elsewhere! one review they tell a customer to go to Olive Garden instead! What business does that! They deserve to go out of business and financially suffer. What kind of business like this deserves our money! Go support another restaurant that cares about customers and their work! There are so many great Italian restaurants out there! DO NOT EAT HERE! SAVE YOUR SELF THE TIME!**EDIT TO OWNER RESPONSE**I actually am not looking for free food since I did not eat there. I was looking for a place to have a meeting dinner and after reading the reviews that made me change my mind :) Also, nothing can come back to me when I wish something. There is no crime there. Honestly, you're making yourself look bad in the public eye and deserve it. Keep responding to the negative comments since you can't handle it. Only makes you look worse. Have a great day!

Outstanding!! This family run restaurant has it all... incredible service, delicious pasta, and an atmosphere that makes you feel like the dishes are being specially prepared for you in someone's kitchen. Come here hungry and try a lot of the menu. I came here with my partner and we split three pastas. This was a fun way to try more food, every single dish was some of the best pasta I have ever had. Don't skip on dessert either. We opted the tiramisu, but the chocolate torte came highly requested so we will have to try that next time. This is a great place to bring family, go on a date, or fill up on a pasta after a day on the slopes. Seriously, go here.
Don't underestimate this restaurant because in stripmall. Bread excellent! Wine waiter suggested excellent. Food EXCELLENT! We had no dessert because we were full. They brought biscatti that we took with us. Best biscatti we've ever eaten!
Don't make the mistake we did. I have never been to this restaurant until Valentine's Day. We received a gift certificate for $150.00 for Christmas (not a gift card) from a family member. Horrible customer service. I called to make a reservation in early January for Valentine's Day and Carmen said it's too early to call. We were then told to call back in February. I called back on February 1st and was told call back in a week this time. I have never seen anybody that didn't want new business as bad as Carmen who was very nasty on the phone. I told my wife about this she decided to call Carmen back. Carmen complained that ten parties didn't show up for New Year's Eve. My wife explained she just wanted a reservation and if she didn't want to make one for us, we would find another restaurant. Carmen took our name and phone number and then said she would call us the day before to make sure we were going to use the reservation. This was after our family spent $150.00 for a gift certificate. The gift certificate was printed on a strip of paper with a poor-quality business card of theirs's that states to call for a reservation. We thought if we showed up without a reservation, we might not get a table. With the restaurant half empty we couldn't believe a reservation would be any kind of a problem. We were then seated in the worst possible table in the restaurant since Carmen seemed irritated from the get-go. This table was positioned so there was a women's head within two feet of the middle of our table. Our waiter came and told two tables at once all this information about Italy and how we were so lucky to be there. He also told both tables at once about the specials. Now let me tell you about rating every item served to us. The water wasn't cold and had no ice in it at all #1 rating. The bread was hard and crunchy there was only olive oil on the table for the bread no balsamic vinegar or butter #1 rating. The minestrone soup was the worst soup I have ever eaten and for $12. #0 rating. My wife ate a salad for $12. and it was nothing special and gave it a #6 rating. My wife also ordered a Ribeye steak for $45, the steak was prepared to medium as she ordered but it was then ruined by a nasty tasting gravy that she had to scrap off her steak which didn't have any seasoning #5 rating. Potatoes on the other hand have a #6 rating. Green beans were a #5 rating. My Fettuccine Alla Bolognese was good, and I would give it a #8 rating. Our desserts were very good and both of us would give it a #9 rating. We sat for a long time without a person coming to our table to refill our water. The check came and I put the $150.00 gift certificate in the folder expecting them to write another certificate for the balance of almost $30. The waiter came over and said your balance is less than the certificate amount, what would you like me to do? At this point we thought he would offer a new certificate for the balance. When he just stood there my wife was disgusted and said just keep the balance for the tip. The waiter said OK and goodbye. We will never return to Celeste Ristorante again.
