We were in the area and wanted to try something new and fast. I would give it a 3-3.5 star, average. The food was good and different, surprised us. Very unique flavors. Service was fast and friendly. It could have been a little cleaner. Not in a hurry to eat there again anytime soon.Ate:Turnpike LoveThe HoneymoonerChedda TotsOreo & Vanilla Shake (They were out of Strawberries.)
It was fine... Probably worth another shot. I caught them at the end of the day, within 30 min of closing time. The burger meat was good. Cooked well. The flavors of our burgers were generally good. Could have used some sauce on my hen burger. The fries were great. We got the half and half.It was at the end of the day, so several of the menu items were not available. That was a little frustrating, but I suppose understandable in our current economic situation.I was not a fan of the street yard grunge decor or music. Just a personal opinion. The place was generally pretty dirty, food and trash on the floor, even in the restrooms. The table we were at was pretty sticky. The service was great, they were personable and acknowledged us as we came in and left.
Parking: Parking sucks. Gotta park at the gateway. It's not too bad if you're coming for another event like a movie or just wondering on the mall and staying for a while. But it's kind of a pain to just come there for a meal.
THIS PLACE RULES. When I asked for no bun, they asked if I wanted a gluten free bun or a lettuce wrap, and when I said GF please, the person taking our order quickly told the cooks to use the GF fryer for this order, and the cooks changed gloves. They're really informed and supportive of allergies and were happy to accommodate. The burgers and sides were DELICIOUS and I could tell everything was made with good ingredients. I especially enjoyed the fried brussels. I'll be returning often, as they're very GF friendly.
Many issues. The wait was extremely long, not because they were super busy, but because they are terribly managed. The manager was unprofessional and yells at the staff and they work in a disorganized fashion. They actually ran out of burgers! The cheddar tots are a bit too salty but otherwise good. The burger meat was ok but the bun had an odd density and no flavor. The pork is pre-packaged and the staff said “I wouldn’t recommend it. It doesn’t taste very good and comes out of a bag and we shred it.” The restaurant didn’t look clean. We will not return.
SOOO GOOD!!! The quality of the food was excellent and we ate every bite. The kids loved it and wanted more. They make the food to order, so it's fresh. Great place for families, date night or grab a bite to eat. Either way, you'll be satisfied.
Great burger. I tried the Dealer. Awesome blend of flavors but you will need to wash your hands after this one. Would definitely try it again
More the meets the eye! The service here was great! Terry or Tracy (sorry) was amazing went above and beyond typical customer service. The burgers where great we got the green mile burger and boy the flavor was there. We got it cut in half with a side of cheese tots, which was just enough to feed me and my man. While the burger was great the cheese tots where amazing and idk what sauce came with it (not fry sauce) but wow if I could buy that sauce in a bottle to take home I would. Thank you for a great last meal on our trip through Utah if I'm ever back this place will be on our list and should definitely be on yours!
Very friendly staff and delicious food?
This place is out of control. 3 employees on a saturday night. Line almost out the door. The employee taking orders was also responsible for taking the orders to the tables. 6 tables were waiting for their food while we were in line for 20 min. The line didn't even move and those tables hadn't been served. We walked out. I want those 20 minutes back.
Great local chain for burgers and shakes.I tried the gateway location, and ordered takeout off Grubhub. As has been my experience almost every time off GH, my order was not marked as done. I called, and the staff informed me it was ready. This was before the estimated time of completion. Staff were friendly when I picked up my order. It was well packaged and still hot/cold (my shake had been kept in a freezer). Prices are fair, though a bit higher on GH.The food was great. I tried the green mile burger-Mac and cheese, bacon, green chiles, and mustard. As with any mac and cheese burger, some spilled out. The green chilies and mustard dominated the taste profile, but it was still good. The chedda tots I got as a side were good, and came with a tasty buffalo style dip.Winning this meal was the Oreo shake. It was one of the thickest, creamiest shakes I’ve had in a long time.

The burger was ok and the establishment was kind of boring. They made the food quick and I was in and out in 20 mins. Best part of the meal was the half and half: fries and sweet potato fries. I ordered the Mother Hen burger.
Best burger ive ever had. Ordered the Schwinn with fried brussel sprouts.Cooked to perfection, the roasted tomatoes where a perfect addition to the burger.Bathroom needed some attention on a side note
We went here for some food before the jazz game and I was impressed. I got the cheddar tots with the mother hen burger and a urban camp fire shake. Everything was really good tasting and the staff was super friendly and helpful. They were busy but the on drawback was sticky tables i will go again for sure.
We wanted to try something new tonight so we ordered from here. Placed the order online. When we arrived- which wasn’t early, it was after the pick up time they told us, I even got a text that it was ready- we went to pick it up and there was some mistake. They either voided the order, gave it away, or just didn’t make it. Told to wait and it would be right out. This isn’t even the reason I left this low of a review.Things to mention while we were there: they kept running out of menu items, had to stop taking orders for the kitchen to catch up.Come home, bite into my burger, and it looks like this. I call to let them know. I get told “Yes we make the burgers a little bit more on the medium side.”“Great. I like medium burgers and I’ve had medium burgers. This is not that.” I tell them.“I’ll make note of that.” Is all I get back.My boyfriend said I should’ve asked for a refund or tried to get something free. But I never want to eat at this place again.TLDR; Dont eat here. Your money is better spent elsewhere.
Headed to Chedda Burger in The Gateway in Salt Lake City today. This restaurant definitely defines "more than meets the eye". Inside the place doesn't look like it would be popular, but their food MORE than makes up for it. I had the Double Chedda Bacon Burger, medium-well, and it was awesome. Everything was cooked correctly, the fries were tasty and crisp. The staff was very friendly and were able to adhere to my wife's gluten free restriction. The only downsides were the table being a bit sticky, and one of the two bathrooms was out of order. The one that did work apparently had issues with the door not locking (per the customer in there before me). So, four stars for this place, definitely worth going.
