Ordered a cake for a Sunday wedding. The staff said that even though baked on Saturday the cake would be fine. Absolutely not the case. For same day cakes, wonderful. But do not order for next day events.
First off the selection did seem incredible, we chose the maple donut and it was just sooo sweet. Maybe I just don’t have a sweet tooth like that haha. Texture could be fluffier but that’s just my personal preference.
I love walking into a place and knowing that everything is vegan, meaning I can choose from all available options! That’s incredible. We took a maple donut and the server was friendly. My first bite though sent me into another dimension 😅 it was sooooo sweet. I actually didn’t want to continue eating. It was indeed mapley 🍁 and the texture of the donut was nice, but I did not like the texture of the chocolate icing and really wish the sugar didn’t punch me in the face 😵💫😅.
Vegan place with Gluten Free options. Best place ever.
Do not get the tiramisu, nasty.
I purchased 3 cupcakes yesterday. Marble, orange raspberry and lemon coconut.
Every single one of them were the driest cupcakes I’ve ever had in my life. Absolutely no moistness and the icing seemed like it had been on for a while as it was dry as well.
If I didn’t live 30 minutes away I would have driven back to your store and asked for a refund.
I couldn’t imagine that this was a norm for your product so I’m assuming, little to no attention was being paid to how long your cupcakes are in the display. Just overall really disappointed. I love looking for cupcake shops and trying cupcakes around the country. I’ve never left a negative review before, so I hope you all consider this review enough to make changes. I purchased the cupcakes on 4/28/25 at 4 pm.
I bought 4 items, peanut butter bar, a raw lemon bar. I know it was raw because make them. A cookie, that tasted half cooked. I was to get a white cupcake. It was carrot cake. I hate carrot cake. Over all waste of money. Never again.
After having a nice meal at MoBetthas, we stopped at City Cakes for some sweets. We stated that it was our first time there and they failed to communicate that they only sell Vegan garbage, which if they had done, I would have left and found another place. I bought a cookie and a brownie that tasted like cardboard.
Please let the people that enter your store that your products aren’t as good as they look! Please inform that you are a Vegan establishment so people that are trying to have a good time don’t waste their time and money!
City Cakes has the best Vegan desserts I have ever had. Their cakes and pastries are incredible, and the decorations are gorgeous. On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We had their vegan carrot cake. 10/10 recommend. Can't wait to try more. They also offer gluten free versions of their cakes. Haven't tried those yet, but I am positive they are just as amazing.
My review is only about their gluten free bake goods. 1st they are expensive. Doughnuts are tasteless and crumbly but moist. Oatmeal raspberry bar,, too sweet and dry. Cinnamon bun, uneatable.

Eric was SUPER helpful in helping me figure out what types of treats were available with my dairy, wheat, and Tree Nut allergies. Five star review!
Eric was absolutely amazing! He was polite, extra supportive with the allergies and the food recommendations, and providing options. The food was amazing both being vegan and having options for allergies. Highly reccommend!
We love city cakes. They have pretty clean vegan and gluten free options. Would love it more if they were artificial dye free as well, but you can find items without if needed.
Amazing vegan desserts! We got vegan tiramisu, lemon bar, and chocolate chip cookie and they all were phenomenal.
Carrot cake - tall, two layer cake and chock full of visible strands of carrot, nuts and raisins. Buttercream frosting outside and in between the layers. Strong spice (eg cinnamon, nutmeg, etc). Moist. Not GF. $35. Good cake if you really wanna lean on the carrot in carrot cake, and a great deal for the size.
