Visiting from out of town and this is a must try! The strawberry Mexican chocolate macaron (pictured) was amazing. My cold brew was fabulous as well. The service was fast and friendly. Outdoor and indoor seating are plentiful. Prices are more than reasonable- my coffee was <$3 as was my friend’s iced tea and the macaron.

I don’t find myself here too often, given the abundance of incredible coffee spots across the city. However, every now and then, I’ll meet friends here—especially since it’s perfectly nestled in the heart of 9th & 9th. Seating can be a bit limited, and it’s not exactly the ideal place if you’re looking to settle in with a laptop for a work session. That said, I genuinely enjoy their coffee and the vibrant, laid-back atmosphere whenever I do stop by.

The employees were quite rude and dismissive. The drinks were actually so terrible, each of our group members were disgusted by the coffee and chai teas. Honestly, couldn’t recommend this place. It was clean, but everyone that worked there was pretty unkind unfortunately. We immediately threw our drinks away due to how gross they were. Disappointing for how expensive it was!!

Best sandwich I’ve had in the city, simple but delicious. Frozen latte is the best coffee I’ve had in a while. Mark and Joanne working the counter were lovely and mark let me try to frozen latte which led to me changing my mind on the mocha. Seating everywhere and it’s a relaxing environment. Highly recommend.

I returned to the coffee garden after a bad experience with the staff and I would like to say I love the new changes! Very welcoming and patient staff. The coffee and food are great and the tables are frequently cleaned. Overall happy and will be returning (:

2 reasons not to go here. Too many homeless. Bad handicap parking signage. Loki is way more inviting.
Go to for coffee and sweet snacks.

They're named Coffee Garden, but I love that they have such a great selection of tea! The menu helpfully categorizes the tea list by black, white, green, red, herbal, and oolong. I chose blackcurrant, and I was so enchanted with having my own lovely teapot! I had a few cups of tea and didn’t need to ask for a re-steep. They have cups to stay, which is a rarity.
The service was amazingly personable. I listened to the barista while I was waiting, and he was so genuine and kind with everyone–no easy feat when faced with a never-ending line!
The high ceilings and exposed pipe are beautiful, and the painting of the 9th&9th neighborhood made me so happy.
Coffee Garden does not have wifi, which may be important to know. I was trying to write without internet distractions, so it worked out well. I love the hallway alcove seating. Perfect for hanging out solo.
