Foods decent, but this restaurant is not clean, the floor is sticky and many precautions are obviously ignored.A 20% tip was added onto my bill for my takeout order without my knowledge or permission.Service was very poor, employee was extremely rude.

While I wait to claim this business and be verified, we did shut down and sell out of the lease for the place as of august 2021. There's another owner and I've heard a name change will be coming as well but it is no longer El maguey served by the Gonzalez-Torres family. Thank you all for the great years of patronage.

Service was not my fav. Food is BORING Ordered a gordita it was literally a plain taco. Nothing on it just tortilla & meat. Also Ordered fish there was no limón no sauce did have rice and beans. They said they'd bring me tortillas for my plate but they never came. Left half my food & I always bring leftovers home or leave a clean plate. Will not come again. Don't waste your money or time here. Truly disappointed went in with a open mind but MY experience here was upsetting.
Basic food no Flavor. Service given was a whatever service. For the price too high. Place isn’t the cleanest. I wouldn’t recommend it. Other restaurants charges the same with more effort.

I got menudo... you know that smell when you forget your laundry in the washer... well thats how the menudo smelled... the caldo de res had no flavor. The corn tasted nasty. The broccoli in the caldo was weird. The tacos where decent. Salsas not the best. The bottle sodas where the only things good.Would I recommend.... yea.. I'd recommend not to come here.
