Would have loved this place if the paella was not burned. A bit disappointed by that, though all other dishes were great.

We went for the fixed price new year dinner. First course was served almost an hour after arriving. Second came to our table after another 45 minutes. We took our entres and dessert to go. Clearly more interested in serving the other tables around us. We were treated the same way on our previous visit. Hoping it had just been a bad night the last time, we wanted to give it a second chance. The two times that I've felt the most unwanted in a restaurant have both been at this one. Manager offered a small gift card for a later visit - not useful for us as we likely won't be back.

This is our favorite restaurant in Salt Lake City. Food is fresh and rich in flavor, service is phenomenal. As a seafood lover, it was nice to see many seafood options on the menu. Fideo was our favorite, simple yet deep flavor of sea.

Had only been there years ago during Covid and only the patio was open. But I must say, it deserves hidden gem status. While the 3 of us were much older than all the rest of the patrons, the conversation level in a small restaurant was manageable. Now the food, wonderful +++. The lamb skewers were my favorite. Bar brand choices were limited but with a bit I guidance I got a tasty Perfect Manhattan. Loads of choices based on personal taste and very nice staff. I plan to try again this week.

It took me almost a year to decide to write this review. I recently came back from a vacation home in España, and I finally felt ready to share my experience. I visited Finca around January 2025 because, as a Spaniard (born and raised), I was feeling homesick and craving real Spanish food. I had been eyeing Finca for a while and finally went on a date with my partnerâonly to be deeply disappointed.
The sangria was the first red flag.
My partnerâs sangria was extremely sweet and tasted overwhelmingly of cinnamon. Sangria is not supposed to taste like spiced sugar water. It was honestly unpleasant.
Then came the tostada con jamĂłn y tomateâthe dish I was most excited for.
This ended up being the most disappointing (and infuriating) part of the night. Instead of a proper pan con tomate, it was a single slice of loaf bread smothered in tomato and sprinkled with the thinnest, tiniest shavings of jamĂłn. There was so little jamĂłn I couldnât even taste it. And the worst part: the entire tostada was drenched in balsamic reduction. Even if the jamĂłn had flavor, that balsamic syrup would have drowned it out completely. It was a total betrayal of what this tapa is supposed to be.
For clarity:
You do not use loaf breadâit becomes soggy and gross with tomato because it has no structure. You use bread with a crust, like baguette or sourdough.
Balsamic syrup does not âelevateâ a dish just by being there. In this case, it ruined it.
Where is the jamĂłn??? Seriously. I could barely see it, let alone taste it.
The paella was no better.
It didnât taste like anythingâjust yellow rice with shrimp and chicken. The chicken tasted like it had been boiled in plain water and then tossed in at the end. How do you mess up so badly that even the chicken has no flavor?
We left hungry, disappointed, and honestly annoyed. We wasted $90 on a dinner from a place that claims to serve âauthentic Spanish food,â yet delivered dishes that felt nothing like home.
When I told my friends and family back in Spain about my experience, they were offendedâand they werenât even the ones who had to eat it.
I came to a Spanish restaurant in the United Statesâ of course I knew the food was not going to be exactly like home, and I was fully prepared for that. What I wasnât prepared for was how bad and below average the quality would be. I expected some differences, not dishes that felt carelessly made and completely disconnected from the cuisine theyâre supposed to represent.

Went with a group of six and had a fabulous time. The company was the best but also the food was very good and Penny, our server, was just perfect. Penny was attentive but also allowed us space to visit and enjoy the evening. Our drinks were always full and our food kept coming out. Weâve been before and will continue to visit. Thanks so much!

This is such a great little spot, it feels like enterning the shire, you know when you walk through the hedges that youâre going to have a special meal. Garett and Penny were incredible. And did not rush a very overdue girls night /bday celebration. Truly appreciate the wine recs and just everything was so yummy, and such a cute intimate vibe. Stoked to come back and also in the spring to sit on the patio.

There is always the risk (for me) of spending my last dollar here, whilst potentially leaving on a stretcher or wheelchair from overconsumption.
Fincaâs food, atmosphere and staff reward those willing to embark on a journey filled with an eclectic array of flavors and experiences.
I had to save myself from weeping as I finished my final churro.
Some things may be wrong in the world, but you can count on Finca to be right.

The appetizers here are really fantastic. They were served on a delicious sourdough bread. The paella was good solid B tier. Part of our seafood one was a bit too browned (burned) on the pan and it gave the dish a weird smoky flavor. Atmosphere was so funâ it feels like youâre in Spain! Service was great as well!
