Such a fun little burger joint! Came here for a little lunch date and was blown away. The staff was so friendly and the food was hot and delicious. We had the chicken crunch basket combo, the bacon burger combo, fried pickles, and two ice cream cones all for like 30ish dollars which is a massive steal! Also! The atmosphere and decor is so nostalgic and cute. I love that all of the initials of people are left carved into the seats. It’s gives the joint a kind of romanticism to it. Will definitely be back!

I have been to many small burger joints, but this is by far, the best one I have ever been to. The food is amazing and well priced, and the staff is always cheerful and willing to help you out. 11/10 would recommend.

I wanted a big batch of fries. Reviews showed this to be a good bet. I got the “super”, bigger than large. A pound of fries! Very tasty. This must be one of the best junk food places in the Salt Lake valley. I will be back.

Love the Hook and Ladder! It’s a classic small family owned business that has supported the Glendale community for 40+ years. I remember playing the arcade video games and eating ice cream in the 80’s. It’s almost exactly the same. Great food for a good price. Give it a try!

I love to support local, so I'll try this place again, but I won't order a burger (anyone can grill a tasteless patty from Costco). The waffle fries are great as is the ice cream selection. The grilled hot dog looks delish as does the grilled chicken sandwich and the onion rings.

When it comes to the classics, it is hard to find a better place in Utah. They show time and time again that a burger doesn't need to be complicated to be fantastic. This is a hallmark of classic Americana full of history. The people here are always so friendly. 10/10
This is a little place kinda right in the middle of a neighborhood. But I have enjoyed the food here and the prices are good. I will come back and try more of their menu out. Some of the surrounding area was used in the filming of Sandlot as well.Kid-friendliness: While I was eating, I saw a group of kids come in from some nearby school. The two staff members that accompanied the children got ice cream cones for the kids. It seemed like that wasn't their first time there. Very friendly atmosphere.
