Honestly the food was super bland. I sampled most of the menu items offered and it felt like there was very little seasoning.

I was sick this past weekend and had zero appetite for the entire weekend, but all of the sudden started craving veggie dumplings like crazy. I was searching everywhere for them, and couldn't find vegetarian options that also had delivery available anywhere until I stumbled upon the veggie momo from House of Tibet! I ordered the veggie momo to be delivered and was a little worried that it would be cold once it was dropped off. I had to wait a little while for the my delivery because I ordered during peak delivery hours, but it was well worth the wait. The momo arrived and was the perfect temperature - I still don't know how they did it! The sauce was incredible and the texture and taste of the momo was just melt in your mouth delicious. In my sick delirium, I almost cried happy tears upon my first bite. I'm kicking myself for not taking a photo of how wonderful this momo looked, but I was too hungry and excited to start eating, it completely slipped my mind. I had never been to House of Tibet before, but if their veggie momo is any indication of how delicious the rest of their food is, I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu. Thank you bringing a little joy to my weekend of sickness recovery, House of Tibet!

I had heard great things about the lunch buffet, but unfortunately they are still only doing takeout which I have tried a couple times now and have been slightly disappointed both times. I'm not sure if it's bc takeout is never as good as eating the second it's finished cooking or if the quality has been dropping off in recent years as some reviews seem to suggest. I have tried the Butter Chicken, Chicken Pakora and Veggie Momos both steamed and fried (I think I prefer fried a bit more). The Butter Chicken sauce was rich and good, but the chicken in my order seemed very dry as if it had been ore cooked and then tossed in. I also made the mistake of ordering the Tingmo as a side instead of rice out of curiosity; don't do it it is just hard, rubbery flavorless breadsticks. The Chicken Pakora was pretty tasty, but a lot of breading, almost as much as the chicken maybe. However I did like the dry rub spices it was tossed in. The Veggie Momos were ok but nothing special. The food didn't really impress me, however I am willing to give it one more shot if they open their lunch buffet back up.

They definitely changed owners. The menu, restaurant, and food are completely different than it use to be. The service was great, but the food wasn't like I remembered it.

I LOVE this place!! The flavors are out of this world, authentic, and interesting. This isn't your average "take out" restaurant and the prices are way cheaper than most others. Great for vegetarians too. My favorite are the Veggie Momo's -- FRIED! Basically a dumpling with the most flavorful sauce. Totally recommend this to anyone who loves trying something new!

I love this place. Has great prices and the food is tasty. If you love curry definitely give it a try! They also have a lot of vegetarian options which is a huge plus for me. The tea is tasty if you're ok with sugar. Honestly this place is on my top restaurants!

The food is great, though it does take a while for them to make it. I'll also say that they were out of the ingredients for one of the dishes I ordered and they made a similar dish to replace it without asking beforehand, which I didn't mind at all, in fact it was DELICIOUS and I couldn't get enough of it, but just a heads up if you think you'd be a Karen about something like that.

The online ordering service via Google doesn’t always print out your name, and it doesn’t go through immediately on their end - causing a delay. So we had to wait a little extra for our food. Food was pretty good. Wish the curry was a little spicier but that’s preference.Of note, no dine-in available right now! When you get there, you have to call them and they will bring out your order. You cannot currently walk inside.

Best restaurant in Salt Lake City. The food is immensely flavourful and satisfying. I come here every time I visit SLC. Been loving their cheese momos and Tibetan sweet tea since 2001. How they manage to maintain such consistent and delicious food after all these years really amazes me. Staff is always so nice and accommodating to spice levels. Their efforts to maintain cleanliness are unmatched. Each booth and table meticulously wiped down before and after each dining party. Absolutely above and beyond, which is so appreciated. I love House of Tibet!

My date said we had to get the kettle of sweet tea, and he was right. It was incredible. The atmosphere was nice, the service was great, the food was delicious, and the prices were very fair. Great quiet date night place.

Initially was stopping at the place next door which I have been to before. We saw that House of Tibet was open for dine in. Immediately changed our course of direction for something new. We were very happy we did. Not only was the food astounding. The service was prompt and polite. In addition to a comfortable place, it was very clean and smoothing atmosphere. Will definitely go back.

I've been going here and recommending this place for many years, but my last two to-go orders were so terrible I can no longer recommend it. I don't know what changed in the kitchen, but the food went from fantastic to sloppy and gross. I ended up throwing most of my recent order in the garbage because it was so bad.
