Had dinner here last night and this was a 10/10. We had a large group and ordered so many items and everything was amazing. Two of my favorites was the bolognese and pork shank. Service was incredible. Highly recommend!

Best place we have been to in Salt Lake so far. We were weary to bring our young children here as we weren’t sure about kid friendliness and they made us feel right at home and super comfortable. The food was amazing and we all enjoyed our time here. We will definitely come back on our next visit.
Kid-friendliness: We have a toddler and infant and we enjoyed our dining experience. Probably not the place to commonly find people bringing their kids but the hospitality made it wonderful.

Fantastic place! Clean and modern, great service, and excellent food. The menu has quite a few options but don't miss the buttermilk biscuit. That was definitely a stand out.
The starters are a lot bigger than the staff says they are. We ordered five starters for three people (we were recommended six starters) and five was way too much. We didn't finish the starters and none of us finished our entrees. So much delicious food! A good problem to have for sure.

Just had dinner here - what a gem this place is! Ruben was our server and he was top-notch. Everything he suggested was delicious and the pacing between our appetizers and entrees was perfect. The roulette cocktails are such a cool concept and really tasty. Can't wait to go back!

Went here for special occasion because it was recommended by multiple people but sadly a bit disappointed. Entrees are $40 and you would expect to be wowed but we felt like they were good, not great. Got the pork shank that everyone raves about and it was good but nothing to write home about. Drinks the same- good not great. Appetizers were the best part but also extremely pricey ($25 for piece of toast). Desserts were lacking flavor. It was good but for the price would maybe look elsewhere. Solid 4 stars!

We are so glad we ended up at HSL for dinner last night. From the lovely staff to the elevated ambiance - had us vibing to an old school hip hop & r&b playlist - and of course, every single bite! All deserving of high compliments.
Strawberry salad was fresh and delightfully dressed. Beets were almost too pretty to eat. Couldn’t get enough of the homemade focaccia and the pimento cheese (with pork shank jam) which made me nostalgic for home - you hardly see pimento cheese on the menu! We were almost too full to keep going but I’m glad we had it in us to finish the silky mushroom bolognese and the pork shank on top of the creamiest polenta. Bravo Chefs ??
Parking was relatively easy for a Saturday night and I appreciated that the restaurant is located on the quieter side of downtown away from a lot of the busyness.
Last but not least, shout out to Caden and Maggie for taking care of us last minute and being so sweet on our celebratory evening! We’ll be back next time for that whiskey caramel pudding

First off, The service was EXCELLENT! The host was so kind and nice! Kim our waitress made us feel taken care of and very celebrated for our 6th Anniversary! If you get to be served by her she is a treat! We got: Biscuit, local mushrooms, pork shank, and some other delicious food! That was all incredible!! I got the fried chicken and the chicken was delicious, the bed of kimchi and beans wasn’t at the same level as the other food. I hope this is taken as input from a fan of the restaurant and not an insult.
Either way we will be back and KIM (KIM, I hope you see this) the service was great from her and all staff! The food was really excellent!

Oh my lanta, we had a ball here. Our server Kim was just a delight, she pointed us to the pork shank which was quite literally the best food I have ever had. And I DO NOT say that lightly. This meal was just a magical moment in my mouth. All around 10/10 would recommend, we will be coming back. I still can’t decide what was better that tender pork shank or Kim’s hospitality
