The service is generally very good, can be a bit slow but it's worth the trade-off for bartenders that are fun to talk to and build a real connection with the patrons at the bar. They also have a great selection and are the only bar in town that offers my favorite amber ale. This has been my regular spot for nearly 2 years and will continue to be for a long time

Monday's at Johnny's rule! Free pool, 2.50 pints, and they have a Nintendo Switch set up to play on a projector! They also have free hot dogs when you get a drink! Cool staff, great vibes, and drink prices are the cheapest around! It may be a "dive bar" by most standards but it's a true GEM!

Door guys assaulted my friends.
At 1:20 the door guy in the photo on the right came around shouting at us aggressively that everyone had to leave immediately cause they were closing. We had been served drinks not long before, and the bar tenders did not tell us they were closing soon. So, we made our way out to the patio to finish our drinks. Moments later, the door guys started aggressively pushing everyone out. As I was leaving, I turned around and two of the door guys were choking out one of my friends and screaming and shouting.
I’ve honestly never been somewhere with such unprofessional and aggressive people working the door and I’m 30 years old.
I would never go back, the door guys have uncontrolled tempers and I felt very unsafe around them.

They are awesome. They gave me so much info about SLC (I was staying overnight). I want to come back to SLC just because of how cool they are!
Door guys need to chill out a little. His reaction was typically worse than any infraction I saw. Music was good. Drinks are alright. Crowd size just about right. Not too crowded but not dead.

We only went in for pool. Got to play a couple games which was good. Pool Q’s could use and update. Seemed like it was hard to find one that wasn’t messed up.

In the handful of times I've visited Johnny's it's been pretty great. Yes, it's loud. Yes, people suck at karaoke lol. And yes, the bartenders get busy some nights but omg they are humans! I love the trashcan, it's prolly my favorite drink. And bartenders have been so cool and they're just trying to run the business when people want their drinks quickly. The haters can go somewhere else, Johnny's is not that bad ❤️
