Jake Bird just now Let me just say, this is the first review I've ever done. But it's necessary. I really hope someone that owns or runs the place reads this. We went to Kobe Sushi for my birthday dinner 4/25/24. This is usually our favorite place to go. They are usually bomb. Tonight was different. The two sushi chefs we drink AF. They were drinking a bottle of makers mark while they were making sushi. They made the sushi terribly. Messed up almost every order. One of them fell down and tipped the sushi rice all over himself. Then had ANOTHER shot! They let a little girl sit at the bar (major Utah DABC violation). They were slurring their words, using blow torches to sear the tuna and then handed me the hot plate, too drunk to work with knives, the floor was covered in food and water, the whisky bottle was right out in the open, they were handling food without washing their hands or gloves, etc. Just an absolute shit show. Further, the rest of the staff, (Chris was one of them) just stood around and watched them. No one on staff said anything to them or stopped them. Some of the other staff was drinking as well. Hopefully they aren't driving home. Whoever owns Kobe or Runs it needs to fire them and maybe Chris and some of the other staff. I truly hope they can figure it out. Usually a great place to eat. Truly and insane situation. Terrible birthday dinner.

They are 5 stars in food, service, ambiance!!! They appreciate the fact that we know what we want and they always do their best to accommodate!

The ramen and sushi was excellent. The service on the other hand, left much to be desired. Our server was not friendly, and seemed irritated by our questions. The Katsu Ramen was delicious.

We both had regular sized tonkotsu ramen, which was very large. The broth was deep and the meat was charred and delicious. We had two rolls and the flavors were good but the rice was not sticky, it crumbled apart in your mouth and was an unsatisfying texture. Their hot green tea was excellent. We went at lunch time on a Monday and there was only one other customer there. The staff were extremely friendly, service and ambience were nice. But I'm removing two stars bc of the disappointing rice.

My husband and I were the first customers to enter the restaurant. They sat us at a table near the bar and a cold wind came in through the door. We asked the waiter to change our table because of the cold and he did. I heard the girl who brought the water to our table ask the waiter why we changed tables. He indicated that we were cold. She laughed and said it's strange and it was colder where we had moved, but no longer felt a draft when the door opened. We ordered two sushi rolls and we watched as the people who arrived after us received their orders, ate, and even paid and we did had not yet received our order. I thought they forgot about us. The waiter apologized and said there were a lot of take out orders that came in all at the same time. He apologized and called his manager. She listened but did nothing to fix the problem like she didn't care and she was in a hurry. Nothing was done. It was our first time in this place and we will not return due to the slow service. The rolls tasted ok, but also much smaller than we are used to at other restaurants.

Called three weeks in advance to make reservations for my daughters 30th birthday party (ten people total). Knowing it was Easter I asked if they would be open, they confirmed they would be. The night before they called "matter of factly" and told me they will now be closed. Wow! What a surprise! There is obviously no way I can get new reservations anywhere now/ I asked to speak with the manager and was told she would call me right back. After an hour of not hearing from her I called again and she "the manager" would not take my call. My wife and I go to this place once a week and usually do omakase, I take guests there all the time and talk this place up. NO MORE. What a rude way to treat a customer.

Kobe has my favorite sushi roll in the whole valley! The Executive roll is the best, perfectly balanced and so delicious every time. They get very busy, so plan for that, but I've never been disappointed!

Delicious rolls, smaller selection than some. Atmosphere is great, was nice enough for a nice date but casual enough for us girls after an evening ice skating to celebrate a child’s birthday. Service was slower than anticipated we were seated at the next table over from a rowdy crowd, I realize I had teen girls with me but it was a little much to be next over from like 10-12 rowdy 20-something’s when there was plenty of space to be a bit spread out. Birthday celebrating was cute and the ladies who helped us were really nice.

Good is great. Service is terrible. I've been reading here for many years. In the last 5 years, service has steadily declined. The wait for a table was very long - the I discovered the large family holding things up, by languishing at 2 tables, was the owner's family! You'd think they would defer to paying customers, but no...

We walked out. After my wife and I were seated, we waited and waited for a server. After 15 minutes, a group of 3 were seated literally right next to us. Within 2 minutes a server provided water to them without even acknowledging our presence. Pretty epic awareness by the staff...ridiculous. It's a a Wednesday night and they weren't even that busy.
