Fantastic experience. I’m normally very critical. Great tacos and coffee, especially for SLC.
Wonderful drip coffee. It’s very rare to encounter a coffee shop offering a geisha as their standard drip. When I smelled the coffee, I was thinking…wow, these guys are using a naturally processed coffee… when we asked, I was surprised… a Colombian Geisha!
Breakfast taco was absolutely delicious. Coconut cake was to die for. Service was fast and friendly. Great experience!
Unreal. I have really gotten into coffee the last year and since finding La Barba, I refuse to drink anything else. I use the standard espresso at home, and it is perfection every time. It’s sharp, it’s dark, and the flavor is smooth. Other coffees I found myself always needing to add other flavors, with this, it’s a dash of creamer and I’m good to go. They care about your experience with coffee as much as they do in making it.

Breakfast tacos were great. Hard to beat fresh tortillas! 4 stars because there was no spice in the salsa. Maybe that's what you get in Utah?

I was looking for a great breakfast taco and was not disappointed! La Barba is owned by a Texas transplant so you know the tacos will be legit. Great tortillas, fabulous salsa verde, and the red salsa was roasted with a hint of lime. We had a collection of different breakfast tacos that were all fantastic.

I’m a frequent customer and there at least two or three times a week. Love their food but their service can be spotty. Today I walked in there at 1:42 and was talking to a fellow customer by the counter and at 1:46 went to order and was told they could no longer serve me because “their kitchen closed at 1:45”. That is not true because the customer I just talked to seconds before had ordered a bunch of tacos and they hadn’t received their food yet. I kindly pointed out the fact that I’d been in the building minutes before “the kitchen closing” and the manager barely acknowledged me and shrugged her shoulders while clearly making tacos for the other customers. I know they’re going through a renovation soon and I hope they can renovate more than just the building.

As soon as I walked in I began to levitate towards the register cartoon style from the beautiful smell of the beans. Got my espresso was highly pleased and then the taco was the cherry on top.

I have been coming here twice a month for the past 3 years. I am still ordering two chorizo tacos and cortado because it’s been amazing every time. The tortillas are hand made every day and really are the perfect thing to grab before skiing/biking/Utah adventuring. The cortado is perfectly creamy and the espresso is just the right flavor.
Also, there is amazing bike parking! 10/10 for a local spot.

Great tasting coffee, perfectly cooked eggs, delicious avocado toast, all in a cozy atmosphere with friendly service.
Breakfast tacos are great. The tortillas are awesome. they have great taste. The bacon was good and the salsas had great flavor. I wish the potatoes had more of a crisp to them.
Good service. Plenty of seating. Parking sucks

Being from Texas, I consider myself somewhat of a breakfast taco snob. La Barba? They understood the assignment.
These are hands-down the best breakfast tacos in Utah — which, let’s be real, isn’t the most crowded category, but they definitely give me the fix I need. The tortillas? Closest thing I’ve found in Utah to HEBs buttered tortillas (IYKYK and if you don’t — bless your heart).
Good coffee, good tacos, and good energy.
My one heartbreak? They retired the spicy green salsa. WHY?! 😭

Great spot I found near my apartment during a walk. Got the chorizo egg and cheese taco and a mocha, everything tasted awesome. Really laid back place in the morning and prices are perfect and not inflated at all

It took almost 2 hours to get 4 tiny tacos. After asking for an update on the order we were told they were backed up in the kitchen. On the 3rd time of asking about our order it turns out they never even sent it back to the kitchen and we had to wait another 30 minutes. I was then told I would get my order refunded but they never did. Would not recommend and I wont be going back.
