I doubt if I'll ever fully realize all of the reasons why 2020 caused such a permanent catastrophe to basically everything . La Frontera has never been about the food. It's okay. The service has its ups and downs, but for the most part it's okay as well. But it's sad when the $5 lunch special doubles to $10 seemingly overnight, while the majority of the menu hasn't changed much or at all. There's nothing special about it anymore, and I can no longer recommend it as an inexpensive lunch break away from the office.

Now how do you rate a place that you've had the opportunity to eat at over the last 40 years. At the current time of writing this I'm very happy and grateful it's still here. The food is good ,the portions are awesome and the reminds me of better times. It's not salty , the food is close as your going to get to for the amount your money is going to pay. I always do the smother of three on the chicken burritos smothered with cheese on fries and extra Verde. It's still homey for a hole in the wall and at the moment will give most Mexican restaurants a run for its money ,portion and quality. Hospitality has never been short on this place for sure..

First time at this location and it was very good. Their smothered burrito which I had was so good. My husband had the chimichanga and it was also good. The chimi came with sour cream, guacamole and lettuce with tomato.They also have great deals on daily lunch specials.
