Disgusting, rancid olive oil at the table and the food itself was overly salted pasta that lacked any sort of nuance due to how overwhelmingly salty it was. The service was also mediocre given the restaurant was barely half full and yet our server forgot to bring us water, and when asked about it, he brought ONE glass of water for our table of six. All this at roughly $30-40 per person before tip? Also, ditch the paper napkin (singular, you only get one). You're a sit down restaurant, not a burger joint. It's trashy.

I had a great time there. I totally recommend this restaurant! The food and the service were very good. OMG, I had a delicious pomodoro gnocchi! So good!

The love is gone...The bread was hard and flavorless. I came for the chicken parm , and the sauce has lost its soul, there was no depth to this sauce. The chicken is now flattened and without proper seasoning. Prices are higher and the Golden Era of Michelangelo has passed. My stomach is full, but I'm just not satisfied.Edit due to owner response: My wife and I had our second date here when we were still a young couple. We have spent thousands of dollars supporting your restaurant. To clarify, my love is gone for Michelango's. You have not provided any information in your restaurant or your response to privately message you. It's a shame you are so quick to name call . Yes, I'm aware inflation is prevalent, but the overall quality did not need to diminish. I understand you have a new chef now; people move on as I will too due to your poor response lacking common decency.

My husband and I have gone to this restaurant several times and have had very positive experiences. Tonight we had a date to the symphony at 7pm and made reservations to eat here at 5:30 pm. We got seated right away but the bread served to us was stale and rock hard. They were also out of Caesar salad. An hour later, we still had not gotten our food. We ended up leaving without getting our entrees because we were going be late to the symphony. We did not get to eat any dinner even though we came at a very reasonable time. Very disappointed.

The bread was not good. It seemed wet on the inside, but the cust was dry and hard.I ordered risotto, but the waitress came back and said they had just run out.The lasagna was smothered in too much sauce and cheese. The sauce tasted too much like straight tomato and had large chunks of tomato that hadn't had a good chance to cook down. The lasagna itself wasn't enough to lift the rest of the experience. The dinner would have been over $30 if they had risotto. Not a pleasant experience.

I went into the restaurant 30 minutes before they closed, the hostess said that they were not taking any more customers even the restaurant was almost empty. I told her that they were still open for a half hour and she said I’m sorry but we had a busy day. They also just sat another couple a couple minutes before that they just gave me a menu. Avoid the restaurant.

Oh OH Oh. You have to go to this Restaurant. When you try the Butternut Ravioli you will have an exotic experience. Other dishes such as the Lasagna are our favorites. The service is great. Meals feel like they are individually prepared for you. Not at all like a chain Restaurant.Wish I could give this 10 stars.

The service was wonderful. Zero complaints other than the bread was pre sliced in a 2" hotel pan in a soup warmer. Tough as hell and super chewy bread. And apparently in this photo is what they call Italian Antipasti. Lunch meat cuts of cheese and 4 slices of pepperoni, with a handful of plain arugula over a few beyond soft olives. And for the low, low price of $18.99? I still tipped 20%, because the server was nice, but c'mon. You guys can do better than that. Harmon's is around the corner. That's litteraly an abomination of anything that resembles edible. I left because if that's what the app looked like, I had zero interst in what the entrees looked like. Yikes! And the cheddar cheese just blows me away. That's so lazy. And get it together with the wine list, or lack there of. You're a downtown establishment. You oughta act like it.

The food was overall okay. Nothing special, but good-ish.Context: we went for pickup at dinnertime on a Thursday after calling. We were quoted 30 minutes and ended up waiting an additional 40 minutes or so, due to a large party beforehand. These things happen, so I understand, but given how much time it took, I feel they may need to hire more cooks. There were 2 or 3 servers out front, so I think they have enough there.Pricing and value: the prices we paid were incorrect, according to the menu on their website and the one pasted outside of their door. The salads we got were double the price on their menu ($2 for a side salad with an entree normally, but we paid $4 each) and one of the entree items was $1 extra compared to their menu item. I'm not sure if there was a misunderstanding/mistake or if we were charged extra because we were doing pickup, in which case we weren't told, but we noticed these errors too late. Entrees are in the $20 range and their tiramisu slice was $6, as of the time of this writing.Food quality: The salads were very normal Caesar and garden salads, but they packed a lot in our to-go container. As most people have mentioned, their complimentary bread was delicious - it was a very yeasty and warm focaccia! The counterperson told us they could give us more if we wanted while we waited, so we took them up on that offer. Very generous of them, and very good bread! For entrees, we ordered a gnocchi Bolognese ($19), per the recommendation of other reviewers, and a fettuccine limon with extra chicken (+$3). Interestingly, the fettuccine was priced correctly compared to the menu ($22), but the extra chicken was a very small handful of chicken that was dry. We were not impressed. I thought the sauce was undersalted, but very, very bright/lemony. My partner says that the sauce tasted like it was made with no cheese, only heavy cream and lemon. I could believe that. The pasta itself was nothing special (like store-bought pasta).Unfortunately, the gnocchi wasn't anything special, either. It wasn't bad, but I've had better in terms of texture and size. The Bolognese tasted like spaghetti-o's sauce - very sweet and the tomato pieces size made us think that they probably just used canned tomato (which is okay, but kind of takes away from a "handmade" feeling). Eventually, I used some of the bread to sop up the sauce because it was too sweet alone and gnocchi did nothing for it.On the other hand, these meals were filling. The tiramisu was also not bad, but really tasted like it had coffee flavor but they did not use coffee liqueur. Nothing really "popped" in the cake, and it was good, but not very satisfying. Texture-wise, it was very fluffy and wet on the bottom, like a typical tiramisu. We still tipped for pickup, so the final bill came out to $70 for two people. This isn't so bad for dinner, but perhaps not worth the (wrong?) prices and what we got.It was a disappointing experience, but given the other reviews, maybe we just came on a bad day, or maybe they have a new cook in the kitchen? 2/5, I would consider coming again, but under different circumstances. But I'd probably try somewhere else out instead if I had the option.

The oil and bread, and the Gnocchi was some of the best I've ever had!

In town visiting. The service was awful. Took a long time to get drinks ordered. I'm going to cut to the chase ... Waitress didn't know if tortellini was only cheese. Asked if they had gluten free pasta. I was told it would take a very long time to make my dish so I sucked it up and had raviolis. They were awful. A bit over cooked so mushy and the sauce literally tasted like Ragu from a bottle. I'm Italian, I'm from NY and hate Ragu. My friends husband is also from NY, said his chicken parmigiana was way over cooked and didn't like his meal at all. My husband had the chicken fettuccini and said the chicken was way over cooked .. only thing he liked was the broccoli. My Husband loves food, any food and said "this isn't great" My other friend had salmon and vegetables and said it was good. Waitress never came back .. No drink refills, sat with dirty dishes for about 40 minutes. I do not recommend this place

I sent a text asking for a reservation for 7:00. Got a text back saying no problem you can just walk in and we can seat you. Got to restaurant and they basically turned us away. The hostess told me they only have 2 servers and if I wanted to stay the wait would be 45 min. I told her about the text and she told me they didn't know the situation. What?? The hostess did not know how to communicate. We left and had a wonderful dinner with great service at Brio.

Fabulous authentic Italian food. Best carbonara we have had in Utah. Love the chicken Marsala which is unique with slices of apples. We prefer the version over pasta. For some strange reason they switched to risotto but they will still do it with pasta upon request. Also great caprese salad. We haven't had anything there we didn't like.
