The food was simple, delicious spices, and everything perfectly done. The fact that it's a family owned restaurant is a plus. I got the fried fish with ugali (corn meal mash cakes?) and spiced spinach stew. Beautiful Swahili food, thank you!

I just want to say, I was very excited to finally get to eat this amazing food, unfortunately I didn't get to eat anything at all, we were a party of 5 and when we came in the only person to acknowledge us was a boy that seems like he was 10 or 11 years old, after saying hi from behind the counter he brought us some menus that he picked up from the floor, that is because he dropped them when getting them, since i so excited we just let it go and looked at the menu, we waited for 10 min and people were going in and out from what I think is the kitchen, none of them even turned to see us, they looked as if they were too busy packing their left overs when they were done eating, a good 20 min went by and still no one, not even at the register, i just decided to go and not try it again. Also, there's no AC at this place, so don't order to stay.Very disappointed with this restaurant's customer service

My partner and I decided to try this place randomly, and omg it was soooo good! The spices were out of this world. If you’re a fan of spice, be sure to try the veggie sambusas. The staff were incredibly kind as well. Can’t wait to come back here!!!

I finally got a chance to try Namash after visiting Salt Lake City several times and it did not disappoint! We went for lunch and I had the Whole Fish /tilapia with spiced rice and a side salad. The fish was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The spices in the rice made it so complex as well! The people I was with ordered the curry goat and wet curry chicken and they cleaned their plates as well. We’ll definitely be back for more.

Tried out Namash Swahili Cuisine at the Kilby Block Party and got the wet chicken curry and Mango Las. The food was prepared fast and tasted good! The Mango Las was one of the best I've had in a long time and would highly recommend.
