This is an awesome restaurant, fine dining food selections in a very cozy atmosphere. Our most recent visit was for brunch, the hangover pasta and the chilaquiles are the best I've had. This place is a must try!

Cozy restaurant that mixes a fancier food experience with a casual date night atmosphere.
The menu is kept limited/curated and the ingredients are local/regional which are both things that great restaurants do.
The staff is friendly and attentive as well.
The only downside I found is that it is a little noisy inside which makes it feel maybe a little too casual at times.

The food is delicious at Oquirrh. The beet salad was outstanding! I was disappointed in the selection of desserts. The combinations sounded weird.

One of my favorite places in all of Utah! Their menu rotates with the seasons and every plate I’ve tried is incredible. Very thoughtful and caring staff, too.

The place has its merits but unfortunately chooses to serve a “Foie Gras” aioli. If you are reading this and don’t know, Foie Gras is the name for a dish consisting of fattened goose (or sometimes duck) liver. It’s made possible by force feeding the scared and struggling animals-using a tube crammed violently down their throats-to grow their livers. It’s often done until they vomit profusely and struggle to stand/walk. The practice is so cruel that it is banned in several countries. There’s enjoying your meat and then there’s condoning/supporting an unnecessary, cruel, and excessive practice like this.
As such, despite the lovely local sourcing, Oquirrh will lose business from me and my friends until this issue is resolved.

An absolute hidden gem! Wonderful, kind, attentive staff and even better food. Compliments to the chefs - they have the ability to elevate even simple potatoes into something special. I started with their homemade sourdough (10/10), then the unexpectedly delicious Milk Braised Potatoes, and ended with the rigatoni dish and added duck 🤤. Will definitely be back and bring back up!

Food was soooo good.

I’m sorry I don’t remember our waitress name - she was amazing. Sat with me and talked about the menu and my bizarre food allergies. Then made sure my dinner was amazing.

A truly excellent dining experience. Doesn’t get that credit it deserves. In all estimates the best dinner you can find in Salt Lake City. Owners are world class folk too.

So fun! They accidentally gave me the wrong food but the owner came and apologized. The food was so good too and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Later they were so sweet and brought me a birthday gift too since that’s why I was out to dinner there.

10/10 would eat here again. Angie knew we were there for my daughters 21st birthday(from out of state) but my daughter didn't bring her ID so thinks started off as a real bummer. As we were leaving the restaurant, the owner ran to get us. She surprised my daughter with a succulent AND she ran and got her a gluten free dessert from down the street. She made the night so special!!! We will never forget.

I decided to come here for my birthday after hearing and reading about this place for a while. It simply did not live up to anything I read or heard. We did the two cheese plate and the sourdough for appetizers. The sourdough was great, but the cheese plate was ridiculous. It contained maybe 1 oz of each cheese and for some reason the bread that came with the cheese had butter or oil on it. Why provide greasy bread to put cheese on? I ordered the pork chop for my main. The pork chop itself was cooked well and a good portion size, but the puree with it was sickly sweet. My friend got the duck with risotto. He also did the foie add-on. The duck was great, but the risotto was bland and poorly done. My other friends got the spicy pasta and the clams and said they were just OK. Lastly regarding the food, it took an extra ~10 minutes for a children's butter pasta to come out after all the adult entrees. That is just silly.

The atmosphere feels slightly cheap and nothing like the upscale descriptions given elsewhere. Cocktails took forever to come out and were not good. I had a negroni that was not proportioned correctly. The server mentioned Utah liquor laws regarding the negroni, but you can make a real negroni within the laws here. The spritzer I ordered next was way too sweet. I finished with a paper plane that was so acidic I could barely drink it.

Finally, I am not sure if it was because of the large amount of rain we received or what, but we kept getting a sewer or backed up drain smell every time a server would walk from the front/kitchen area to our table. There is no way the staff did not notice, and they mentioned nothing to us about it.
