Osteria Amore is one of our favorite places in Salt Lake and it never disappoints! The caesar salad is delicious, and so is the Cacio de pepe and the Osteria pasta dish.
It is our favorite place for a long well needed lunch! Food, service, everything is always perfeft!
This was one of the best restaurants we've eaten at in a long time! I wish we lived in Salt Lake City so we could go back. Charming ambiance, knowledgeable and friendly wait staff, and, above all, delicious food! The server recommended an appetizer that we've never had anywhere — tempura coated zucchini stuffed with goat cheese and drizzled with honey. Wow! We could've eaten five plates of these. Main dish was fabulous too.
We've been to Osteria Amore many times and have always had great experiences in the past, but our last visit was really disappointing from start to finish. We arrived a little early for our reservation and called to see if we could possibly be seated sooner. The young man who answered the phone was short with me and said flatly that our table wouldn't be ready early, it was definitely not the warmest start. At the same time I called the restaurant, my husband stepped inside to use the restroom, while he was there, he asked if our table would be ready early and the young man at the door said, “yes he could see us right away.” I found this extremely confusing. When we got inside, the restaurant was packed and extremely loud. My husband is hard of hearing, so we asked if we could sit at a quieter table in the corner. The host told us that table was being made into a six-top and couldn't seat us there. A few minutes later, we watched as another group of four was seated at that same table. That was frustrating and felt a bit dismissive. My husband and I decided to split a Caesar salad to start. Our server kindly offered to have it split in the kitchen, which we appreciated—until we noticed a $4 “split charge” added to our bill later. When the salad came out, someone from the kitchen just dropped the plates off without saying anything. I had to wait about ten minutes to get someone's attention for extra dressing and cracked pepper. For my main course, I ordered the ribeye steak, which came out pre-sliced. Unfortunately, the steak was full of fat and gristle—so much that most of it was inedible. It honestly felt like it had been pre-cut to hide the poor quality of the meat. Between the inattentive service, the extra charges, and the disappointing food, this visit really missed the mark. We've always loved Osteria Amore in the past, but it feels like both the quality and service have gone downhill lately. I truly hope this was just an off night, because it used to be o
Our beautiful waiter was from Florence and she was so charming and amazing in every way! The food was of course, amazing as always, and we brought friends that had never been and LOVED it too!
I love this restaurant, it is one of my favorite in SLC. I was celebrating my birthday, and I had a very good time, as always. I recommend this place for sure.
I ordered the Anatra Romanesco & Oven Roasted Potatoes. The duck breast skin was raw and couldn't cut off. So, I took the bite, the skin and fat were undercooked, almost raw, and tough to chew. It was difficult to separate the skin from the meat. The meat was light pink, but it lacked flavor and was quite chewy. The colorful sauces on the plate also had no flavor. The roasted potatoes were burned brown on the outside, but still raw on the inside - a fork couldn't even go through them. My friend from Atlanta, whose favorite side dish is potatoes, ended up giving it up.
Food and service always outstanding. The size of the menu, price wise, location, service. We love having dinner at Osteria Amore.
Service felt rushed except when it came to bar service. We ordered a second glass of wine but when it didn't come before the meal was over we were not happy. Either our server was remiss in not delivering it or the bar was incredibly slow in filling the order.
I have never had a bad experience at Osteria Amore. The service is always friendly and professional and well executed. The food is amazing! It is my go-to when I want a beautiful meal and a lovely welcoming experience.

We had such a delightful experience celebrating my birthday here. Thanks for a wonderful night!
Great again! We took 20 year SLC residents who had not been there. Now its their favorite spot
We had a fantastic time! There signature pasta is so delicious 😋, my husband and I shared it with pizza caprese (add prosciutto), I loved it. Good cocktails, we will be coming again for his birthday 🎂!! Definitely need to schedule ahead of time!!!

Everything about this place was awesome. Our server, Vincenzo, was wonderful and extremely knowledgeable. The food and wine were outstanding. We sat outside, as the weather was gorgeous. It was so great that I came back the next night with another group!
