Horrible, disappointing!! We ate at the draper Anns when we were here last and it was AMAZING. We were so disappointed we left without eating more than two bites. The restaurant was dirty and the food tastes like a filthy grill. The pancakes were light and fluffy but couldn't get past the gross hard film that tasted like an unwashed pan on the outside. Ordered the famous whip cream for the penny puffs only to be disappointed again. Absolutely no taste. Paid $40 bucks for a bad experience and a bad taste in my mouth!!

Had the Fried chicken IN waffles and it was amazing. Cooking chicken directly inside the waffle is such a great idea and it is very delicious. The waitress was lovely and the place was very nice.

Penny can definitely cook up some mean breakfast! Large portions, good quality and taste and servers have always been friendly from the 8-12 times we’ve been there. Whatever plate you order make sure to grab a scone for the side ?

A cafe gem for breakfast and lunch in southern SLC. Small, 12 or so tables and a counter. Menu is American with breakfast and lunch offerings. They specialize in pancakes. They also have vegetarian options. Prices are fair. We will return.

This location is located on the side of a busy side street on the edge of a big building. Parking is available on the side of the street. The cafe is pretty small, but there are many little tables and booths to fit quite a bit of people. It has that classic diner vibe because the tables and the inside are pretty old.I ordered The Big Breakfast. Normally when I go to breakfast or brunch, I choose lunch items over breakfast items on the menu, however, just for Penny Ann's I chose the classic breakfast. Their HEAVENLY HOT CAKES are the only kind of pancakes I actually enjoy and love! Something about their recipe is actually so good! I opted for their hot cakes over my usual breakfast burrito. Their hot cakes are light, airy, and buttery! The service was quick and accurate even though it was busy! The waitresses seemed very experienced and just two waitresses kept the whole place running with no complaints the day I came in. If you're not a giant breakfast fan, I would suggest trying Penny Ann's Heavenly Hot Cakes because even I (not a breakfast foods fan) enjoyed them and would come back to get more if I am ever craving breakfast foods!

It was one of the only brunch places without a line or waitlist on Sunday. The servers are great, and the food is great, but portions for a decent price.

Parking is abyssmal.Service is curt from the second you open the door. We were told there would be a 45 minute wait while we looked at 4 empty tables. Cramped and uncomfortable.Food is not good, except the pancake, only the pancake. Do not suggest anything with gravy.Tried 2 different times, will not be back.Parking: Very difficult to find parking.
