My friend, sister and I gave this place a visit during our trip to Chinatown yesterday and the food was just delicious! Me and my sister got the Spicy beef and noodles soup called Bun Bo Que which had just the perfect spice for a low spice tolerance person like me which was why I was impressed. Usually if there’s too much spice it would cancel out the flavor but this Bun Bo Que’s beef broth was perfect! My friend got the Vermincelli noodles with pork and egg rolls bowl which was very good as welll! The prices were decent and nothing too overpriced. My mom actually recommended this place and I am so glad I got to try it because I will be coming back again!

We were one of two tables but somehow the service was still pretty bad. The bun bo hue was okay, but the Vietnamese mini pancakes were fried with rancid oil. You could not taste the coconut at all, the bitterness from the oil was overwhelming. Also the side veggies that came with the bun bo hue looked pretty sus.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE! Had the absolute worst customer service. Waiter mumbled everything and didn’t even care to communicate a kitchen mishap they had. I waited more than 40 minutes for my order and they never once even tried to apologize or communicate there was any issue. Apparently they burned my food!? I ended up leaving hungry with no food. While waiting c I just witnessed the lazy, unmotivated service other diners had. Very unfortunate. The food might potentially be decent if not burned, so definitely only try this place if you aren’t hungry, are in no rush, & don’t care about receiving good attentive service.

I don’t usually write a bad review, for the last few time I have been coming here the food and the service was great , but today Friday 11-1.24 is the worse ever, first of all they don’t even care to open the open sign , the waitress seem like she don’t even care taking the order , she drop the food down and walk away so rude , I can see she is so rude , the food is good I was gonna order something to go too, but my husband said not order because the waitress seem to rude so we left , Seem like she doesn’t care to work , I ask for chili paste, She is so rude and said hold on, usually I tip, but not today, just the way she rude to the customers like that she don’t deserve tips.i will come back to eat again, but If that waitress still serve there then I won’t come in. Bad server, but the food is good though.

Pho Hong Chau is now our go to place for Vietnamese. Both of my friends from Vietnam say it's the most authentic, and they have dishes you can't find at the Americanized Pho places. You gotta try the pancakes and the crepes. The place isn't fancy, and you have to ask for service, they don't come around much. But the food is what matters. Go beyond the Pho!
Was sat down at 12:30, placed orders about 10 min after that. Waited around for an hour, no one except one table had even been served food in the last half hour. Asked staff about ETA and the guy just walked away (granted he couldn't have been more than 13 years old). crazy experience wish we could've tried the food
