Amazing as always!
Nick has such an amazing Team !
I am always amazed at the consistent quality of the food!
I have eaten here easily 100 times.
Sometimes two times a week or more!
Never have I had a disappointing or bad item!
Or bad service, and even when it’s which is most of the time.
I recommend this place so much, I would drive hours across the valley to come here!
Lunch, dinner, special occasions, groups. It’s just awesome!

So my wife was extremely excited to have me try this place out. She came here a few weekends before and had the Chilaquiles brunch meal.

We came in early on Friday afternoon. My wife asked the waitress about the Brunch menu and found out that they only serve that on the weekends.

So we both got the fish tacos. They have a hard tortilla wrapped in a soft one with fish, cheese, and avocado. Rice and beans on the side. They do supply some dressing for the tacos in which I liked but my wife thought it was too acidic.

While the service wasn’t awful, I feel the waitress could have been more helpful. We noticed other waitresses explaining the specials for the day and what was most popular. That would have been helpful after finding out that the menu is different on weekends.

Not a huge fan of the fish tacos but will return on the weekend to try the brunch menu out.

Food was great, staff was friendly and efficient. Very disappointed to see a restaurant of this caliber still sending hundreds of Styrofoam to go containers out the door daily...C'mon Now, with $19 Calamari, ya might get some biodegradable to go's? ✌️?

The Philly cheesesteak was disgusting, the veggies were not cooked with it, rather they were just added at the end because they forgot to prep them with the meat.

I love porcupine grille and we come here at least once a month. I always order the Philly-cheesesteak sandwich. Today (Oct 13), and for the first time ever, the cheesesteak was disgusting. It appears that the sous-chef or whoever prepared my food forgot to cook the veggies (onions and bell peppers) with the meat and it appears they just added them at the last minute.
I appreciate that people prepare food for us but for a reputable restaurant like Porcupine this is not acceptable. This could have ben an easy fix: cook the veggies a few minutes and send the sandwich. or do not send a meal that is sub-standard.
I spoke to the waiter tending our table (Gunnar) and I think he mishandled it. He first apologized and noticed that the veggies were all raw and agreed that they should have been cooked with the meat. He then said we are understaffed and left. He didn't offer to replace it or take it off our order or talk to the manager or chef about it. Indeed, he didn't do anything about it. I don't want a replacement or a free meal, i had a hefty order for 4 people. But I love porcupine and would have liked that they take care of things like that.

Also, aren't we done hiding behind the "we are understaffed" story from the days of COVID?
They are not understaffed. The place was buzzing with employees. and if they truly are, why are they still open?

This was an outlier for sure, but should be caught early on lest it becomes a pattern. For now, we're not going to porcupine for some time. I hope someone responds or reaches out.

Salmon was ugly - looked freezer burned. Mashed potatoes were instant reconstituted - consistency of a good soup. Worst meal I’ve ever had at Porcupine - over more than a dozen visits - October 2 2024
