We spend a lot of time at primary’s, hospital stays and clinics. The cafeteria overall is poor at best. The food is poor quality. Service is pretty much non existent and selection choices are sub par especially on the weekends. This week has been a nightmare with the cafeteria food. Sadly there are few options to choose from. The University cafeteria is well worth the walk across the bridge when there is access available. Employees tell parents to not waste their time and money at the cafeteria. Cleanliness definitely needs improvement.
Zero stars if it were an option.
Ate a hot breakfast on 4/23/2024. My fiancé and I both ended up getting food poisoning. So not only are we caring for our son after a procedure but now we’re both on our death beds, severely sick and dehydrated. 0/10 recommend. Thought we could trust the food since it’s a hospital and cleanliness and proper food handling and preparation would be implied but I guess not.
I came in the cafeteria a couple minutes before they closed because I haven’t ate all day and I was in the hospital room with my sick baby, as soon as I walked in the young lady who made our food gave us a very nasty look, and when I went to order our food the old lady that took our order counted down until the time they closed so I barley had time to order or even looked at the menu I panicked and ordered whatever my spouse ordered. It was very disrespectful and rude. Never again.
absolute banger mac n cheese
People that work here hate their job! Customer service is bad!!! the time that you have to wait for food during Night Shift is unbelievable ! Caregivers we deserve better, especially when we have less than 30 minutes for lunch.
Walk over to the university’s cafeteria instead! They are more organized, are more consistent with the food, and have more variety. Primary’s need to review hand hygiene and food safety classes with their employees. Some things I’ve noticed:Employees using the same gloved hands to handle the register, cleaning, and food. Employees tucking their shirts, tucking hair into hairnets with gloves hands, playing on the phone, then continue to do food prep. Also, sneezing onto gloves and continuing to handle food. Also, please implement a better service system. I’ve lost track of how many times my order for hot food has been forgotten because I’m not ordering from the grill and given a number. It’s just “someone will get your food shortly”. Ends up they didn’t know or there’s no system to show who’s waiting on what because it’s just verbally communicated. So if you’re not up to bugging a worker, you can end up waiting 10-20 minutes for your order. Also, check how long food has been under the heat box. Getting pretzel bites and they are rock hard is disgusting.I will no longer support this cafeteria and will make the walk to the university cafeteria instead. They are much cleaner.

Had an unfortunate visit to the hospital. Tried hospitals food (room service) and it's inexpensive but disgusting. Most foods are boxed foods they warm, like pizza and cheese ravioli. It's difficult to leave the room with your sick child so it's better than staying hungry but if you are flexible, I'd avoid it.
Good price and availability. Glad they are there when I need them. Food is mediocre at best, but in the hospital that’s not my #1 concern.
Excelente atención con mi campeón

They have state of the art equipment, amazing staff and facilities which gave us an overall awesome experience. Thank you to Primary Children’s Hospital especially the CHARM Clinic!
Had a cheeseburger and fries. For hospital food it was amazing . Friendly service
This review is about hospital policy NOT the staff. For a hospital that does so much for families and children, it sure needs to take a closer look at some of its harmful policies towards families. My special needs 5 year old is attached to the hip of her 7 year old brother and in one of the most important procedures she has to be left alone without her best friend. She is non verbal and gets extreme anxiety from any kind of change, especially in a hospital (she's had many procedures so she knows something is up and she wants her brother to hold her hand) your policy of no children in the room of a children's hospital is beyond insane. The irony!! I'll be taking my business elsewhere to a hospital that actually cares about its children patients and ensures red tape doesn't overlook such an important thing for our children. And yes hospitals are a business not a charity. Money matters, I hope other parents can put their dollars elsewhere. Make the change to this terrible policy. #ksl #abc #foxnews #fox #primarychildrenshospital #nbc
The hospital staff were so welcoming from the moment I walked in with my baby. You could tell they truly cared and I was so thankful!
My son was life flighted due to trauma accident. Because of their amazing care he was able to be extubated, off sedation, able to pass a swallow eval, just moved out of picu now going to receive rehab! We have amazing nurses and doctors I’d like to give a shout to Sydney, Sarah, “bearded doctor” Dr Jared H I’m so glad we have such amazing pediatric care available!!! These guys are experts at their care to patients as well as families! We were able to receive help from Ronald McDonald- sleep night, some clothing:toiletries, food, coffee For such a terrible terrible accident I feel so grateful!!
