I'm a big ramen fan and have never loved what Utah has to offer...until Ichizu. This is absolutely the best ramen in Utah. Up there with my favorites in NYC and SF. Well done!!

We went there to seek real japanese type Ramen.
We got it!
We ordered Shoyu, Shio, Gyoza, Karage Don, Chashu Don.
All of them were tasty, looks like Ramen shop in Japan.
I was really moved that quality.
Above all, hall staffs are kindly and friendly.
It's really comfortable lunch for us.
I'd like to try another menu, next time.
I was too excited to eat, then forgot to take a photo, I strongly recommend just to go and eat.
You'll realize it meaning.

Later day, we've come again.
It's monday special!
Chicken and Duck Paitan was awesome!!
Much rich chicken and Duck's soup was incredible taste.
It reminded me that my favorite Paitan in Japan.
And I've missed again to take a photo before eat, because all family member were too excited, lol.

Kid-friendliness: We went there with 5.
And the shop is not so large, but they set up table for us as 5 seats.
Appreciate that!

We went on a Monday for the chefs special, it was our first visit and we were so excited!! I have no idea what the daily item was because it was a word I hadn't seen before, had no description and I didn't take a picture to look it up later. Either way we were ready for our taste buds to be blown away. When it came the broth was just barely warm, like annoyingly Luke warm and we debated weather that was on purpose but neither of us loved that. The broth tasted soooo fishy. I've never had ramen that even tasted fishy let alone overwhelmingly fishy, my friend wouldn't even finish theirs. I didn't hate it but didn't love it and felt super disappointed for $22 ramen. There is also construction going on upstairs, probably to expand seating but it was horrendously loud and we couldn't even chat across the table half of the time..overall we were both disappointed in the experience given how hyped we were to go. It was too out of the way for us that there may not be a second time. I'm willing to bet their other items are delicious and maybe it was just that days special.

Tantanmen was quite salty and not that nutty for me.

Average ramen, bad service.

My ramen was bland & I had to flag down the waiter after waiting for 10+ minutes to get the check because he was chatting in the back. Zero situational awareness regarding your customers.

Also, Kleenex tissues instead of actual napkins? What’s up with that?

Seems like this place is trying to emulate what they likely saw in Japan, but fails to match the authenticity, service, & atmosphere.

I will not be returning.

recently visited this ramen Ichizu and, sadly, it fell short in terms of service. When I requested chili oil for my ramen, I was told it couldn't be provided because the owner disapproves, despite having it available. Moreover, when I asked about drink options, the server curtly directed me to "whatever we have in the fridge by the door," which felt dismissive.

While the ramen itself was good, the overall experience didn't justify the price point. I've been to other ramen restaurants where I can order drinks, appetizers, and a main dish for the same price with much friendlier service.

In summary, the food is decent, but the service needs serious improvement.

Shio ramen was novel but not earth shattering. A bit too expensive for what it is.
Good ramen egg.

On an afternoon they were blaring some of the worst hip hop. Like just cringey/uninviting.

Service can only be described as apathetic.

Fun to try for novelty. I won’t go back though.

Worth the wait, the best ramen we have had in Utah. Rules are you eat and your out, which is why lines are long. (Rules are posted on the wall) Due to people sitting around, you probably will be waiting around 45 min. But overall the food was amazing. I even forgot to take a picture of my food due to it being salty and delicious. 100% recommend!!!

I went in excited and left with a shrug. I am a big fan of ramen and finding somewhere that touts 100% homemade I was excited to try it.
I left knowing that I will never think about this ramen again.

Don't misunderstand me, the ramen wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out in any category. The broth lacked depth and flavor. Usually a great ramen shines due to deep complex flavors that compliment and enhance the toppings and noodles, unfortunately it didn't shine through. There was a somewhat overwhelming flavor of what seemed to be added sesame oil that overpowered any subtle flavors that may have been present. The noodles were probably the best part of the ramen. But again, they were just good enough to escape notice. The toppings were the bare basic and cost additional money to add what I usually see on a standard bowl of ramen, with the exception of 2 half sized dumplings which were more of the same run on flavours found throughout the dish.

This brings me to the price. It's outrageous. It ultimately cost $22 before tax and tip, for a basic bowl of ramen you'd find elsewhere.

As for the service, it was weird. I wasn't sure if it was self or full service. The menu is bare bones and the staff couldn't remember what came in which dish, I would reccomend having a description on the menus and I assume, as several items on the menu were covered by blue painters tape, that they are probably working on new menus anyway. After ordering I got my food over the ramen bar which is pretty standard, but didn't see my server again. Water was self service and pichers were placed above the bar with overturned stacks of cups on the bar counter. Napkins were instead replaced by boxes of kleenex tissues, which was odd. I pushed my plate out of the way and waited to get the attention of the staff and ended up flagging down the host/server for the bill.

Overall the ramen was nothing I'll ever think about again, the service was awkward and the price was not justified based on the flavor and quantity included in the meal. I'm disappointed as finding a decent bowl of ramen in Utah is difficult and had some hope here.

My boyfriend and I have been wanting to try this place ever since we visited the sister location in Park City. To say we were blown away is an under statement. We ordered the Shoyu ramen with all the toppings and felt it was the best Shoyu ramen we’ve ever had, and the price point was completely appropriate for the quality and quantity of the ingredients. The Karaage was also the best we’ve had. We also ordered the Chashu rice bowl and the cucumbers - everything was amazing 10/10 food. At the end, we ordered both the peach yuzu sorbet and the Shoyu ice cream - both were incredible but the Shoyu ice cream was the standout. It was sweet, salty, nutty and had a sesame seed crunch that made the ice cream so balanced, yet indulgent. The atmosphere was cozy and authentic feeling, and the service 10/10. Our server Claire was sooo sweet. She gave us recommendations, engaged in conversation with us about the food and made the experience really fun. Be sure to come hungry so you can try as many items as possible.

Small ramen shop that is worth the wait. We went on a Monday, so we got a special menu. I love the weekly variability of the Monday menus.

Everything was awesome, as soon as you walk in you immediately get seated. Water is self serviced. I sat at the bar so there was a stack of water glasses right in front of me and chopsticks. I’ve been dying to eat at this spot because I heard they make their noodles in house. I finally got to check it out and it didn’t disappoint! I got their tonkotsu special and it was amazing! Everything from the noodles, broth and pork was so well balanced. Creamy and umami. The texture of the noodles were out of this world. I can’t wait to go back!
