Our server was not very good at all. She missed orders, was slow and not attentive to our needs and requests.........drinks orders were not fulfilled, and it felt like we had to give her instructions as to how to provide for our table. Food is very good and love jazz, but this server needs coaching.

We were visiting Salt Lake City and I found this restaurant on Open Table. Can I tell you everything was fantastic! The food was delicious, our server Brock was incredible. The ambiance was perfect. I highly recommend Repeal to anyone visiting.

My wife and I chose Repeal for Valentine's dinner, and it exceeded expectations. The service was polished, attentive, and well-timed throughout the evening. The chef's tasting menu was thoughtfully executed, with each course showcasing quality ingredients and excellent balance. The cocktails were consistently well made and paired nicely with the meal. Live jazz music set a relaxed yet refined tone, and the overall atmosphere felt intimate without being overdone. It was an ideal setting for a Valentine's dinner, and we both left genuinely impressed.

Tasting menu with wine pairing was phenomenal. Jazz music drifted through the restaurant as we dined on perfectly portioned servings. Staff were friendly and attentive. Atmosphere is quiet and romantic.

Fantastic experience - best restaurant in SLC. Three of us went here and the music, food, vibe and overall experience was fantastic. Manager stopped by, chef stopped by, 10 out of 10.

Food tasted excellent. Based strictly on taste, top 5 places in Utah. Ambiance too. Super fun vibes. Downstairs, speakeasy. Perfectly executed. Why a 3 stars? Staff needs more training. Like you don't need to tell me you are taking my dirty fork, you can just take it. Or if you're going to intro a dish, you can do it cleanly... I felt a lot of stress, things like that. Also we did the tasting menu. Food took forever to come out. Pacing was really poor and we were hungry. Also there was a massive chunk of fat in my ragu. Was great otherwise, but that's something I wouldn't expect at a place like this. (And frankly a dumb mistake likely by someone inexperienced) Will for sure come back in 6 months and will expect the kinks to be worked out.

Repeal had a very nice vibe and decor scheme, but slanted towards noisy, as is the preference these days. Food was well prepared, but not sufficient in quantity to make sense of the prices. Hen of the Woods entree weighed in at 2 ounces of mushrooms and a spot of kale for $35, and the ahi app was less than an ounce for $17 or $18. Red wine list was interesting and varied, service was competent, albeit a tiny bit slow, and the jazz guitarist was good, However, when you spend over $200 for two, it would be nice to get quantities sufficient to feel full when you leave.

Service and knowledge of the weight staff was exemplary. Appetizers were a big hit. Octopus was delicious and a decent portion for sharing. Vegan entrée was very good as was the chicken no desserts ordered, but both the wine and cocktails at the table were great.

Chef Joey Ferran's cuisine is outstanding. He's one of the most creative chefs working in Utah. Aside from the excellent food at Repeal, we really loved the live jazz too. Service was exceptional and Repeal offers an amazing selection of Bourbons for Bourbon lovers. Highly recommended. (21 and over).

A real jazz supper club and an excellent place for a fancy date or small gathering with friends . Beautiful decor and and atmosphere . Excellent food, though the menu entrees as limited to 5 or 6 choices. Lots of well prepared apps and salad . I'd say this hits fine dining quality, including the presentation . The vibe is elegant while being relaxed and friendly . It has the true feel of a jazz supper club . The tables are spaced well apart so you have some privacy if you are on a date . Request a booth if they have one available . Service was really great . The staff seemed to really like working there and were attentive without being pushy . The jazz trio was authentic , classic jazz — really good players . Some tables have partly obstructed views of the stage . But the acoustics are quite good for listening while dining; we could hear the music but also easily carry on a conversation . There are are a few cocktail tables in the room facing the stage and a good sized bar with unobstructed access to stage . There is a very large selection of top shelf liquor —- though some offerings were priced in the stratosphere , I had top shelf McAllen 12 yr . scotch for $17 . We will definitely be back to this outstanding club and restaurant . Bravo to the owners , chef and staff of Repeal !!

You MUST try this place...reimagined less than 1 year ago, this is a solid/fun dining experience. And hope that you get Brock as your server. Brock is a no punches pulled, solid recommender, which is less and less common these days. He guided us to a wonderful dining experience. We started with the Lavender 75 and the 1933 cocktails, both of which were fun and inventive twists on classics. For food, we started with the Olives and the Hummus. As we have said many times in our reviews, 1) would you go back to the restaurant and 2) would you order that again...in this case yes to both. The Olives with the dates, almonds, and bacon were SO good especially when our red wines showed up. The hummus was as good as we have EVER had. But back to the wine...we love new world reds...when we tried to order a new world red, Brock wrinkled his brow and discouraged us from what was on the menu...instead he steered us toward the old world Chateau Lyonnat...and let me tell you it was fantastic and especially well paired with the olives and the hummus. We moved on to the Lions Mane Frito and OMG, I don't care how you describe this dish, it will not do it justice...this is a must try dish...Brock used the word "chicken nugget", which COMPLETELY discounts the beauty and uniqueness of this phenomenon. The textures and flavors need to be experienced. We also shared the Red Oak Lettuce salad. For a salad, it was very good, but it is just a salad. As I said earlier, everything we experienced (would you come again and would you order it again) is answered with a resounding YES. And like I said, hope that Brock waits on you.

Our first visit to Repeal was great! Nico P. was our server and he was helpful, professional and courteous. We started with the seared ahi, baked hummus, octopus and red oak lettuce. All were very delicious but portions were somewhat small. We supplemented with more pita and pomme frites. We shared the seasonal house made pasta for our entree and it was very good! Pasta was cooked perfectly and the mushroom bolognese was different and delicious. Nico recommended the frozen fig soufflé and it was incredible. We highly recommend Repeal and will be back soon!

Good vibes and excellent cocktails. Waitress was super helpful in suggesting cocktails and dishes to try and knew the menu well. Lions mane and octopus small plates were delicious.
