We went for he chef table and had an excellent experience. It was very interesting to learn about their special three part oven/grill/rotisserie. The chefs made it very engaging and were full of laughs. The bartender that served the pairings was light hearted and very friendly. We had a great over all experience and the food was delicious.

I think it’s hard to receive or give a high rating on food that is $50 or more per plate. Not only was the food quality impeccable, and incredibly tasty food with amazing service in an incredible environment. I got the New York steak and Fries and the banana churro dessert. Best steak I’ve had in awhile and the fries had a magical Parmesan drizzle amd seasoning.

The remodel of that building is amazing. I’m looking forward to trying out the hotel rooms later this year.

I had a great experience at the Rouser. Given my experience with flavorful cuisine in Louisiana, the food at the Rouser met all of my expectations in terms of flavor and beautiful presentation.

The friendly staff, especially our waitress Patricia, spent plenty of time to make sure the experience was great and explained many of the famous dishes and history of the Chef.

Overall, the Rouser had a great atmosphere where it was easy to relax and enjoy a high quality and well put together meal along with good conversation.

If I ever return to SLC, I’ll be sure to add the Rouser on my list of restaurants to revisit.

A couple of my friends and I reserved a table at this location and by far the best service in the Lake! A very friendly and welcoming atmosphere alongside amazing food and drinks. We were approached by the manager, Jorge, and he made sure to give us great recommendations with food, beverages and even things to do around the city. Overall a very amazing experience! Would definitely recommend.

Went this past Saturday with wife, the food was amazing. Also great service from the manager Jorge and Bobby and great attention to detail. Really good atmosphere right across from delta center. Highly highly recommend and will be coming back.

I recently did the Chef’s Table experience at Rouser and left genuinely disappointed. At $145 per person, I expected a thoughtful, elevated tasting menu, but the execution fell below the bar.

The five-course lineup felt disjointed from the start. The “first course” was simply rolls—good, but hardly worthy of being a standalone course at this price point. The corn-and-crab elote-style dish that followed was the highlight of the night, but everything after that steadily declined.

The duck enchilada course was dry, oily, and oddly constructed, with a blue corn tortilla, mole, and sour-cream sauce that didn’t come together in flavor or presentation. Then came a watermelon and cantaloupe cold soup, sweet, spicy, and out of place in my opinion.

The main course was essentially a DIY taco plate—pork, some vegetables, salsas, and blue corn tortillas. While the meat tasted fine, assembling tacos at a chef’s table felt unexpected, uninspired, and far too casual for a premium tasting experience.

Dessert was a corn milkshake topped with what seemed like a marshmallow meringue and scorched on top. It felt like a bulk-prepped milkshake poured into cups—not a refined tasting-menu dessert.

There were some service issues too. We waited for silverware and new plates after food had arrived and a couple times a dish was brought out late to one or more of us at the table. The kitchen and front-of-house seemed out of sync.

Overall, I cannot recommend the Chef’s Table at Rouser. The concept needs rethinking, from menu design to service execution, before it justifies the price or the “chef’s table” label. I won’t be returning for this experience in its current form.

Creative (and very good!) cocktails, outstanding service, and a menu worth testing. We did the Tomahawk (they will cut for you to share!) - excellent char and flavor; the local whole trout - delicious though the sauce could use a bit more of a citrus punch; and Crispy Duck - only low point. Duck was done as a fried chicken style, which works against its natural delicious skin and already fatty texture. The fry made the duck less flavorful, and the oily finish did little to elevate. It was an unexpected presentation that needed more thoughtful work on its overall flavor profile. All the sides were good (an egg on top of those asparagus - with a sprinkle of crispy speck would have pushed them over the top!). Deserts worked well and the dinner overall worth while.

The fries were amazing. They were fried in beef tallow/ beef fat. The steak tartare was too sour in my opinion. Liked the sourdough bread though.

Nice experience but it could have been better. The space is beautiful, the food was good but did not wow. The service was just okay. Nothing particularly wrong with it, just not one would expect.

My partner and I dined at Rouser back in March for my birthday, and it was a terrible experience at the time. We decided to give it another try today, and the difference was incredible. The new team and updated menu have completely turned things around.

Every dish was flavorful and well balanced. The appetizers, especially the pork ribs and beef tartare, were rich, unique, and perfectly seasoned. The short rib and crispy fried duck were tender, beautifully plated, and full of depth. Service was attentive, and the manager even stopped by to check on us.

Valet parking was smooth and convenient, and the atmosphere was much improved. Still moody but comfortably lit. Rouser has really stepped up its game. Excited to come back for the next menu change on December 3. If you haven’t been in a while, it’s definitely worth another visit

I couldn’t decide, so I ordered both. The seatrout at Rouser is super fresh, grilled to perfection, and melts in your mouth. The gnocchi is a must-try. Never had one quite like it. Can’t wait to make the drive from Wyoming to try the salmon and avocado fry bread 👀! Friendly staff, and highly recommended experience.
