Beautiful interior, very relaxing and unique. The coffee was not good, unfortunately. It tasted like hot milky water as if the shot were not pouring correctly. Also, I could see the top of the coffee through the very minimal foam. A good latte is going to have thick foam. To be fair, a few people came and left while we we inside, and they seemed to enjoy their coffee very much. 2/2 stars for the vibe of Rugged Grounds. 0/3 stars for the lattes we recieved.

I love how low key this place is. The atmosphere is very laid back. We were served by Elizabeth and she was absolutely wonderful. The business is still very small however that’s part of what makes it so interesting. Lastly the coffee was great, definitely worth the time to actually make a review.

I absolutely love this coffee shop. Small, beautiful, aesthetic, delicious coffee, and everyone is so nice in the space.

One of my favorite local coffee shops serving local goods. They have both a Salt Lake and Provo location. My go-to is an iced caramel latte but they also have a few specialty drinks too. Staff at both locations are always super friendly!

Best coffee shop, best people. Since I no longer work in the area it's not as accessible to me but I will stop in here as often as I can. Sadie and Skyler have created the best shop with the best vibe!

After drinking coffee just about everywhere in SLC, this is by far my new favorite coffeeshop. The coffee is amazing, the staff is so friendly, and the overall vibe of the place is perfect. If you want a good cup of coffee and somewhere you can relax, read, or do some work, give this place a try. Also, the avocado toast is amazing and worth every penny.

Unassuming store front with a unique and fun interior, complete with piano and chess board. Chill, relaxed vibe. Owners know their coffee and the coffee is good. Recommend the cold brew.

Who would have thought that there are gems hidden right in the heart of downtown. This is one coffee shop with a lot of character. Totally in love with the interior which is a pleasant departure from many other copy-paste coffee shops. The coffee easily keeps up with the beauty of this enjoyable space. Parking spots need a bit of searching, but is available all around. All in all, a must visit.

I stumbled across this place walking back to my hotel. It's a bit hidden, but what a great little coffee shop. Quality coffee and tea options, homemade almond milk for the non dairy lovers, and a few small bites on the menu. Avocado toast, grapefruit halves, and pastries. I love the decor and the customer service was amazing. My barista was very personable.

Out favorite coffee shop in SLC! Incredible ambiance (mossy wood wall, old school drafting chairs, good music, laid back and homey atmosphere) and the best mocha I've had outside of my home town coffee shop, Cafe Moto. Will definitely recommend this place and come back when we're in town.

This place is fine. I used to live in provo and had fond memories of Rugged Grounds down there and really i think it's the best provo has to offer. The only problem is... in salt lake there are lots of options. Don't get me wrong the coffee is pretty good - I think they use too much sugar or syrup in your drinks as a default so maybe ask for less. They dont have too many choices in drinks and it's all more expensive than I would pay at a comparable place, but it's solid. The aesthetic is nice (if youre into that kinda clean but grimy aesthetic). It is really convenient if youre downtown though. Oh actually, their avocado toast is definitely their best thing. It's super loaded and super salty which is something im into. Honestly just go get that.
