The food is very good, but it has gone down hill since they got bought out. The seasoning is getting a little more pale but i love the desserts!
10/10 experience. Big price, but you get what you pay for.I went for my anniversary, and (with a reservation) we were seated very quickly. Parking was a bit inconvenient (cost about $7). However, I noticed they had a valet service at the front of the restaurant, which we did not utilize. Our server J.C. was very friendly and attentive. The food was very good! I got a New York Strip, the Ceasar salad, and Au gratin potatoes. All were excellent! And they even treated us to a free dessert for our anniversary... the peanut butter pie defied expectation! Helped us pack up our leftovers in boxes and then a bag.Ultimately, I would rate the experience very high. Would definitely dine there again.

It’s a great place, service depends a lot on the individual server. For the most part best steak I have had in Utah.
The steak was just so poor. We ordered ribeye and it tasted more like a sirloin. Was gritty and not cooked evenly. For the price i was shocked at the quality. The sides were also not very warm so felt like they were mass made, something id expect of a buffet. Server was incredible but food was very poor comparatively to price.
The steaks are always so amazing, and the service is the best.
First time dining here. Amazing food, steaks were cooked perfectly. We loved the shrimp appetizer and asparagus side. The cheesecake was delicious.

Food was very good as usual except the chopped salad was missing something. It just didn't taste as good as in the past and was a little disappointing. I had my grandson there for his birthday and highly recommended the chopped salad...but we were all rather disappointed.
For the price, I just expected a little more. Sides were great…however, my steak was overcooked and felt rushed the entire time I was there as if I was occupying someone else’s table. We’ve been here a few times for company dinners, birthday celebrations, etc in which we’ve left disappointed every time. Steaks over or under cooked-very few smiles from the staff. Flavor is still fantastic but IMO most people expect and experience coming here and it under delivers.
Food is overpriced for what it is. The mashed potatoes were mediocre at best. There are too many servers there. Someone is constantly interrupting your meal. Music was grating and loud.
Cozy warm atmosphere, service is top notch. The food is so well done and served to perfection. I love the mushroom and creamed spinach sides. The lobster mac has huge chunks of lobster and has a green chile kick. Even the house salad is amazing, their blue cheese dressing is delicious. The steaks are the stars though. I got a ribeye and my husband got a bone in filet. Sooo good and cooked perfectly! The signature cocktails were just ok. My husband's wine was better.
creamed spinach? fire. ribeye? fire. key lime pie? candy. lobster mac? mom says fire. parallel parking? first try.

The service was awful, although the waiter was very nice. Don't bring me bread and butter and no small plates. When I place the order don't walk away and leave the menus on the table until just before the food arrives. The steaks were both very good. The mashed potatoes and cream spinach were not good. The potatoes had no flavor and texture was bad. The spinach lacked flavor and was more sautéed than it was creamed spinach. I'll stick to Mastros and Capital Grill when in Salt Lake.
Ruth's Chris is my wife's favorite Salt Lake City Restaurant. The food is cooked to perfection and if you're into the perfectly cooked steak, served on a 500 degree plate, you will not be disappointed. My wife loves the garlic-crusted halibut and the sweet potato casserole. Service is alway impeccable and while if can be expensive, the experience is well worth the price.
The website indicated they opened at 5 and we had a reservation and showed up promptly at 5 only to find the restaurant was pretty much full and people were already well into their meals. We would have come earlier if we had known they were open. Otherwise the food was good. Two of us ordered the Petite Fillet meal and the waited as one of us if it was the 11oz fillet? Clearly the Petite was articulated but our grandaugter didn't know the difference and ended up getting more than she bargained for and our check was a bit heavier. Interesting trick on the part of the server. But otherwise everything was great!
