Saffron Valley - Sugar House

Wouldn’t call this authentic Indian food. We ordered the lamb Rogan Josh and could only taste tomatoes in it. In the saffron mixed grill platter all of the different chicken weren’t cooked fresh. Only thing good was the ghee dosa but the chutneys with it were so bland and sambhar was like water. Have had much better Indian food in other restaurants in SLC. Went with a high expectation due to the reviews but was very disappointed.

I have called multiple times to get my receipt. I’ve left messages and no one ever returns my calls. One time I did get ahold of someone they said they would look into finding it for me and call me back and they never did. Came here for a work meeting and the lunch was purchased on a company card so I need to turn in the receipt. When paying I opted for a email receipt, then I got back to the office I realized immediately I never got it… I’ve been dealing with trying to get this receipt ever since. If you need your receipt for any reason, opt for the printed version so you get it right away. This has been ridiculous.

I ordered saag paneer, panner kebab and chicken tikka dosa, coke and mango lassi. Nothing was good, no spices and flavor. The saag paneer didn’t even have salt in it. Would not recommend it to anyone.

I loved the place! They have a unique flavor to the food, everything tasted very fresh and delicious. The staff was very attentive, my boyfriend made a mistake and ordered a very spicy dish and they still changed it for a new, non-spicy one. Definitely a unique and delicious experience! Thank you so much!

We went to a buffet where the staff were very friendly, especially a woman whose name I cannot recall. There were numerous vegetarian options. Saffron Valley has consistently been serving excellent Indian food for over 10 years now.

I had the Safron sampler that was Amazing with 2 delicious sauces, had the garlic cheese Naan, that's perfect with the meal, and the Tikka Masala that was perfectly cooked. Will definitely be back.
The service is second to none as well. The atmosphere is pleasant and perfect for a beautiful evening.
