Hibachi is good but stay away from the raw sushi, I had diarrhea for five days after consuming the tuna sushi.

We had an excellent time celebrating a birthday. Our chef was hilarious and very entertaining. We sat at the habichi table and got the class performance. The food was good not the best I've had but it was pretty reasonably priced so I feel like it was worth what we paid. Overall it was a super fun experience

I honestly was hoping for a better experience and in comparison to some of the other cooks ours was not the best. There were moments of great energy and performance but then long awkward moments of silence and not engaging. We might give this place another chance because the food was really good but I'm hesitant because the attraction was the performance of the food being cooked in front of you.

The food was good, I asked for the stake & shrimp with half noodles & half rice. My steak was more on the welldone even though I asked for medium rare and a tad bit salty not sure if it was the steak or the noodles and rice. But for the price it is a good experience.

We came here just for the sushi and it was delicious! All of the rolls we ordered were delicious and fresh!
The only thing I have to complain about is the service. Our waiter was not attentive and forgot to bring out one of our sushi rolls. Every time he’d come to the table he leave as fast as he could so we’d have to call him back over if we wanted a refill on a drink.

A very disappointing experience.
We went to Sakura expecting a nice Asian dining experience, but it turned out to be the opposite. My husband never received the rice that was supposed to come with his meal, even though we asked for it more than twice—both the chef and the waitress were informed. I had to share my rice with him, which completely ruined our meal. How are you supposed to eat steak, salmon, and vegetables without the main side?

The most ridiculous part was when the waitress said the rice was on its way right after my husband had finished all his proteins. What was he supposed to eat the rice with? Just plain rice by itself, when the rest of the food was already gone? That shows a complete lack of logic and coordination.

We were charged full price, and they only offered a $2.50 discount, as if that could make up for such a frustrating experience. Eating while angry and feeling ignored is not what anyone expects from a place that advertises itself as an “experience.” We won’t be coming back, and I don’t recommend it.

Had a great time at Sakura Hibachi Steakhouse & Sushi Bar! The live cooking show was definitely the highlight—super fun and entertaining. The hibachi was delicious and cooked just right. Sushi was alright, not the best I’ve had but still decent. Overall, the food was good and the prices were pretty reasonable for the experience. Portions were fair too. If you go, make sure you sit in for the hibachi show—it’s what really makes it worth it.

Chef Carter didn’t just cook dinner—he hosted the best show in town. From the moment he rolled up to our table, he treated us like old friends, even recognizing someone in our group from a visit months ago (“You came back! This still your girlfriend? What’s taking so long?”). Every minute was packed with playful banter, like when he pointed at one friend and said, “You look like trouble,” then immediately made them the designated sake target. That sake stream? Deadly accurate. Olympic-level. Straight into the mouths of three people in a row, no spillage, just cheers.

The man made a beating heart out of fried rice. Like, something out of an art museum. We were losing it. He had that perfect line of mischief: never mean, always funny, and somehow totally personal.

The food was excellent—the steak cooked perfectly medium rare, the vegetables still crisp, the fried rice somehow fluffy and rich at the same time—but honestly, it was hard to focus on eating because we didn’t want the show to end. After we finished, we lingered awkwardly, just hovering near the next table to catch more of Carter’s antics like moths to a flaming onion volcano (my friends talked me out standing behind some random family to see the performance). If you told me I could pay $40 just to stand near one of his stages with no food, I’d do it in a (rice)heartbeat.
