I had the grilled Caesar salad with tuna. The light grilling enhanced the flavors and the dressing was just the right amount. The tuna was cooked just the right amount and tender snd flavorful. My dinning companion had the salad was delicious and tagliatelle vongole and loved it. I always enjoy their marinated olives but I do love olives. There is a good selection of wines and cocktails.
Food was tasty, though a touch under seasoned. We snagged a salt mill from the servers station and were in business. Nice menu items, good variety. Fun beverage menu, though a bit limited on wine selection. Server seemed a bit disjointed and service lagged as a result. Would certainly go again. The aroma of the open kitchen is intoxicating when you first walk in.
Overall: 4/5. The food was a bit overpriced for the quality, though that's fairly typical for downtown SLC. The steak sandwich had a burnt taste, but dipping it in the birria sauce from the pizza made it more enjoyable. The birria pizza itself was flavorful and worth the price. The white bean dip, however, was bland, again used it on the steak sandwich.
Ok pasta. Bad pizza — 3 of us ordered pizza and all 3 didn't like. Crust not good. Not enough sauce
We've added this to our short list of must-do dining stops when in Salt Lake City! This new find was suggested to us by a Delta Pilot with whom we were talking. The food did not disappoint! Everything we had -- the Caesar Salad, the Gnocchi, THE BREAD!!! -- was absolutely delicious! Service was just right -- attentive, informative, intuitive without being the least bit overbearing. Need a quick meal -- get bar service in front. Want a more formalized setting, get a table in the back. The look and feel of the place has an industrial, warehouse vibe. Even so, the lighting is elegant, and we loved the whole dining experience.
We went to celebrate my husband for Father's Day. The food was delicious, the setting was lovely.
We love Salt and Olive. A great place to go for dinner when you're doing things downtown with friends or on a date. The food is always delicious!
We had an amazing experience! We had a table for 8, and they gave us a private room which was fantastic! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was friendly and everyone who served us were kind and helpful. Will go again!
We ate during their special pride, brunch menu, and could not have been more satisfied! The selections were so incredible that we ordered one of everything on the menu! Everything was top-quality and wonderfully themed for the weekend festivities. My family and I were delighted to savor all of the unique flavors. The only disappointment was that we couldn't return Again as it is a limited time menu. Well done!
We made a reservation for a group of eight of us and when we got there, they took us back to their new “back room“ which was nice and it was private, but it was a completely different menu from the rest of the restaurant and what we had expected to have They made accommodations and brought with the other menu so it was not a problem. The food is good and it was a good visit.

Went there with a party of 12 and everything was wonderful! We arrived about 15-20 minutes before our reservation time and they were able to sit us right away, no wait. Waiter was great and made some wonderful suggestions. The house olives and bread with whipped olive oil were AMAZING! We'll definitely be back!
This restaurant has a menu where every item is extremely good; Especially for the price. The cocktails are awesome too. The service is great, the vibe is great, and everyone is extremely friendly. We visited for an anniversary and the waiter even comp'd us free dessert, it was very good. We will be returning consistently without a doubt.
Food is fresh, pasta is made in-house and is delicious -- best I've had in many years! Cocktails are creative and smooth
Will begin by thanking the manager, Celeste for making every effort to recover our bad experience. Restaurant is advertised as Italian but we were directed to the back half of restaurant which had a limited steakhouse menu. My wife ordered the gnocchi of the day (Purple Squash as indicated by the waitress). It came as a mushroom and steak dish. Our waitress was off-putting and defensive and tried to convince us it was purple squash. Lol. She later admitted to the mistake and offered to replace the meal but we were given an even more restrictive steakhouse menu and the only item of interest was a Cesar salad. It was delivered to the table in a to go box (we didn't ask for to go) and at that moment we asked for the manager. Btw, I ordered the filet ‘medium' which was a mistake. It was way overcooked. The manager was helpful and nice and re-plated the salad and took care of us the rest of the evening. It was a very strange evening. Hoping the best for this restaurant in an identity crisis (steak hour or Italian?) and hope the waitress was coached on how to serve customers.
The food was amazing service not so much. We felt very unattended to by the staff. We walked in and it took the front staff several minutes to acknowledge us, his head was buried in the computer. Our waitress literally came to our table 2 times, we had wanted salt and pepper for our food but could never get anyone over to our table.
