The food is amazing. The service was a little lackluster but that might have been because we came at a slow time.

Food isn’t as good as you’d expect for the price. A good amount of the muscles weren’t fresh (dead before being cooked) and the breading on the fish and chips was undercooked. Could be a fluke but I wouldn’t recommend. That being said they took the fish and chips off the bill since it was undercooked. So service is great!

DELICIOUS!I thought this was gonna be a fine dining service, but it was not, it is more casual but relaxed, I liked it, fine dishes in a casual atmosphere. We came for lunch and asked for the Heirloom Caprese as appetizer, so good. Then I asked for Parpadelle al Tartufo: Wonderful! So tasty, creamy, loved the pasta and the flavor in general along with mushrooms. Also the Truffle pizza was so astounding!! I would say the pizza is one of the best I’ve tried in Salt lake city. Our server was great and attentive, forgot to ask his name to give a shout out. The place has an urban style, cool! I am definitely coming back!

This was our first time at Salt and Olive and it did not disappoint! We ordered the special soup and it was delicious. Our main courses were the gnocchi special and the Tagliatelle. Meals were good but not amazing! The service was great. We arrived at 5:30 and by 6:30 the place was full! We'll be back!

Had a great lunch at Salt and Olive! Was thrown off upon entering by the “order before you sit” at an iPad setup , seeing as the prices were the same as a nice sit down and table service restaurant, but we were offered table service since they were slow. Good cocktails, even better appetizers and main course. Had a pepperoni pizza that was delicious, and the red sauce pasta, and we got the Tortiglioni Verde as well. Amazing. My dad went crazy for the lamb lollipops too. Will be returning!

Honestly, I shouldn't even give one star to this place! My sisters and I went last night and had an awful experience!! When we sat down it took someone about 15 20 minutes to come to our table. The girl that was serving us was slow and didn't seem interested. (This place was not busy at 830 pm btw) We heard this was a good place but didn't look at the menu before we came and everything was so expensive! We just decided to order an appetizer and drinks. When we were ready to leave we had to go find our waitress because it had been that long since we saw her last. When my sister went up to her she said, oh I'm not your waitress someone else is. She had forgot us! Just overall a horrible, un professional experience! We did talk to the manager but she didn't seem to care as she was friends with the server!

We enjoyed an excellent dinner at Salt & Olive. I really like the setup in this restaurant that includes the cafe, casual and formal dining. We had the roasted beets and carbonara, both excellent. On our way out we grabbed coffee and pastries from the cafe. Looking forward to returning.

Good food, very filling. They actually have good proportions for what you pay for. If you get a reservation you get the cool white table cloths. And if you go on special days, you get the white table cloths and a special menu.Vegetarian options: I saw 1-2 vegetarian items, one of them being pizza.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, no booths, has bar tables.

Food was excellent. I recommend the pasta carbonara or the tagliatelle. The dolce dessert option made with Frangelico liqueur was amazing. Their Italian Chianti nicely complemented the pasta dishes. Only negative was our server who lacked hospitality experience.

Service was ok, nothing to complain about there. The drinks were pretty but I ordered a bees knees that had dry din, lemon, honey and lavender so I was very excited but when I got it I almost felt like they forgot everything but the lemon, it’s as if they just pored me a glass of lemonade. As far as the food…completely let down! I am a sucker for Italian food! My partner and I both order different pasta dishes and upon arrival (which only took maybe 5 mins from when we ordered it) I could immediately tell the pasta was not from scratch, if you going to pay almost $30 per plate I would have expected from scratch pasta..anyway I let that go because I was still excited to try it, I ordered the pesto dish and to my surprise it tasted like warm milk..no salt, no pesto, no seasoning just bland warm milk. My partner ordered the shrimp pasta and there was a bit of flavor there but not enough to rave about and the pasta was overcooked and slimy. I feel like we paid fine dining prices and got worse than fast food flavor. The only good thing about this place was their white bean dip which is the only thing I ended up eating. Definitely a disappointment and would not waste my time here again.
