We loved it! Food was delicious. I got the veg udon and my husband got chicken hibachi and a spicy tuna roll. Slightly small roll for the price and slightly small hibachi portion compared to the heaping portions we are used to at other places. Staff was wonderful. Kid friendly

Food was good, but the fish quality was on the lower end compared to similarly priced sushi in the city.

You're paying Sapa , Tsunami, Tekashi prices for middle tier fish, a less high end atmosphere, and a fairly limited menu. Drink menu was even more scarce. Some okay cocktails, but barely a handful of spirit selections.

That said, the service was excellent and fast. I will be coming back for the occasional beer and mussel shooter appetizer since it's a close proximity to me. My only downside, again, is that for the price, you can get better just a few blocks away.

Let me start by saying how great the sushi is here! Not only does it taste wonderful, the prices are incredibly fair! Coming from Seattle, I can't believe how low these prices are! I don't know how they compare to the rest of SLC, but I think they're amazing. The sushi is fresh, delicious, and they have a wonderful staff! I stumbled across this gem, you should too!

This restaurant can only be described as exquisite. Not only was the atmosphere and aesthetic felt welcoming, but the food was on the level of a five star experience.

Not only was the food generous, but it was done to perfection.

If you are looking for an atmosphere to cater to either a group of friends hanging out or a business outing that blends casual and fine dining in the most beautiful of ways with a wait staff to match?

This is the place to be. You will not be disappointed.

Reading some of the bad reviews made me laugh, because this place has consistently given me great sushi and excellent service. Maybe those people just had a bad day. The 18 hour drives are always worth it! :)

The owner of the bar flirted with me to the point of it being harassment and tried to convince me to go on a date with him. And also said horrible things about his wife Bree. I told his wife about it and told her she deserved better and instead of getting mad at him, she told me that I was not allowed to come back to the restaurant. I was shocked. I wasn’t being flirtatious. I didn’t cause any problems. I was trying to eat my food and have a nice date with my boyfriend. I don’t know how someone so immature and childish can own a restaurant. Just because your husband is unfaithful to you, doesn’t mean you should take it out on innocent people who are genuinely trying to be kind to you and do you a favor.

Great food and friendly staffs! Will be back!

A new favorite! I first came here for a work holiday party and I’ve come back multiple times with my family (including my son’s birthday). Food is delicious, the service is excellent. If you like spice, try to jalapeno popper appetizer. So yummy.

We were excited to try this new spot but we're disappointed in the lack of flavor on everything we ordered. Quality appeared decent but again SLC falls short in seasoning.

Great food, especially the sushi. I also like to come for the bar and have a drink there as I watch the street through the big windows. The decoration is generic downtown industrial, but the food quantity, quality and the service are great. The price is also fair.

We met the Owners, Ken and his Fiancé. They were awesome and and the Food was so damn good.
I recommend the Ocean Troat. It is the Best! Thank you guys for making us feel welcome. Texas boys will be back soon.
