We had the calamari, lobster enchiladas and the filet enchiladas and everything was delicious and packed with flavor! Nathalie was our sever and she was great! The butter cake for dessert was unreal!

We have come here a few times and usually loved it. Last night the service was terrible and the food was off. They put cabbage inside my daughter's kids quesadilla. The fish tacos had such a large piece of fish in it you couldn't even eat it. We couldn't ever find our server and then they forced a 22% tip because of their stupid machine.

We loved our dinner here. There were so many good menu options and all of my party was pleased with their food. I ordered the carnitas and found them to be excellent. Our waiter was friendly, accommodating, and kind. I would love to come again.

Very modern decor. Doesn't fit Mexican food very well. Very good service, food came quickly. Guacamole should be made table side, not pre-made in kitchen. Just ok. Shrimp enchiladas were good, but not great. Margaritas were good. Overall, a bit overpriced. And, like a lot of new restaurants, too noisy when it got full.

The A/c was not working correctly , it was way too hot inside. We were uncomfortable, sweating, and that made the experience not enjoyable.

The food was delicious and the non-alcoholic drinks were great too! The waitress was ok.. when giving us the bill to pay had 25% tip pre-selected.... So be careful on that.

Jose was the best server! Was there for my birthday and he made it special. Food was great as always - never skip the butter cake!

I was excited when Sol Agave opened a location in downtown Salt Lake City. I had visited their location at LA Live in California and loved the food, atmosphere and service and was hopeful they brought that vibe to Salt Lake City. Yes indeed they did bring it. They have on site parking which is complimentary and a rare thing in downtown these days. Also you can reserve a table through Yelp which ensures you can dine on your schedule. We were greeted and seated within a few minutes of our arrival with a choice of inside or outside seating. Due to the heat we stayed inside but the patio area looks lovely. Started off with a house margarita and mojito to accompany our chips and salsa and bean dip. Both were very tasty. They have quite an large bar area with a full menu of beverages. We decided to share the Sol Agave Salad with steak and the Enchiladas de Camaron. The portions were significant and the salad came out so fresh and colorful and a full steak was sliced on top of the salad. The house dressing on the salad made all the flavors just pop. The enchiladas had huge prawns inside and a nice spicy kick to the sauce. We loved both our entrees and unfortunately were so full there was no room left for their famous Butter Cake which we will try on our next visit.

Sat us on the right side of restaurant where it was really hot when there were tons of tables in the cooled section. Took forever.

My first visit to Sol Agave and the experience didn't quite live up to the hype. The restaurant itself was beautiful, spacious, good vibe, music, etc. and service was wonderful. Sara took great care of us. The food was lacking. My husband had been several times to location in American Fork and raved about their carnitas. Tonight they were tough and dry. Parts were inedible. Lobster enchiladas had good flavor, but likewise, the meat was tough. We let Sara know and she was willing to make new plates, but we were ready to move on. The butter cake and churros were delicious! We'll be back to give it another try as it might have been an “off” night.

It was mine and my wires first time. It was so loud we had to yell at each other to talk. They had a youth soccer team in sd a party. The ribeye was the best in Utah! The house salad was soo good. Do not recommend the mushrooms for the appetizer.butvthere bread and homemade butter are the best in utah

We had a party of 4, the bar drinks took forever to get to our table. They were very strong, which you don't hear much of in Utah. We wanted to order more drinks, but once we got our food, we decided it wasn't worth spending more money at the establishment. The food was really gross, not one person at our table liked their entrees. We each had a different dish. I had high hopes with the reviews of this place, but I won't step foot in the place again. Server was great and we didn't feel like "complaining" about the food, we just knew we weren't going back again, so it wasn't worth saying anything.

We LOVE Sol Agave and go there every time we visit SLC. Not sure what was going on this week but we had to send our chicken back 3 times. Also super weird that at age 60 (obviously) we got carded. They say it's a law but in 4 years we've never been carded there for one drink. Food was off. The whole thing was off. It was not our typical experience. I guess everybody has off days. We generally highly recommend them.

Most everything was 10/10. Guacamole appetizer was not my favorite. Carnitas main was 12/10 delicious though. Also the blue azul drink was so delicious

Sol Agave is a truly great dining experience. I took my nephew here for his birthday and they did not disappoint There are some places that have "fancy" food and fancy prices but the food is really just average. Sol Agave is truly a winner. Everything was so good. My only disappointment is they don't offer American coffee.
