I usually don’t leave reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience. During my visit today, I was treated disrespectful and unprofessional. From the moment I arrived, I was yelled at by the lady at the front, she got upset because I touched a quart size container, I did not see the sign that said do not touch the containers, I apologize for touching it and she replied back “ idk how much clearer the sign needs to be” I have never felt so embarrassed and disrespected. I will not ever return here again!
I hope the business takes this feedback seriously and improves the way customers are treated. No one should have to feel disrespected when they’re paying for a service.

I saw how a lady in there went off on a beautiful girl that was right in front of me because she pointed at the sizes of the bowls!!!
How ridiculous!!
I just had to walk away. She can go and yell at her kids like that!!!

The main girl up front .not a fan of her can't even call her the lady upfront. Cause lides have respect for people she is not very professional i ask to buy a couple extra bread sticks she said no I was so good with that and unstood never even said a thing about her saying no just stood there waiting patiently but no miss un professional had to bring all the customers in to the conversation that was none of their business in the first place. Announced it in front of everybody , just to not give them to you anyway not even the ones that come with your meal thanks for nothing and you unprofessionalism open the futureWhen somebody asks you learn to keep it to yourself cause people are not dumb and understand

Best creamy tomato soup I've ever had! And the home made breadsticks are amazing. Best dive spot around. This place is going into my regular rotation.

I went and grabbed lunch for my co workers and i on a very busy day, i got a bowl of chicken noodle soup, and a SKU sandwich on sourdough. The two ladies working at the time were working real hard to keep up with demand. One of the 2 ladies was a bit overwhelmed but they were still making it work smoothly none the less. The chicken noodle was so good and the boodles were soft and didn't need any extra flavors added as it was made well. The SKU sandwich was on a toasted sourdough and it was great, the lettuce and tomato tasted fresh, the bacon was crispy but not burnt and the rest went well together. Its in a rough area by the tracks but definitely worth checking out. I'm not sure that it's always super busy but I'd suggest not ordering ahead as it can be difficult for food service drivers to find and get the food from.

The soup was so good and tasted homemade. The noodles even seemed homemade and the chicken wasn’t precooked. The sandwich was absolutely AMAZING. There was so much chewy and tasty bacon. They were not greedy. They also gave me some garlic bread with my soup. I will absolutely be returning!

The new manager at redwood road is awful. Honestly I don’t know who in there right mind would make her a manager. She was completely rude to my co worker and I. Snapped us like we were dogs trying to take our order and when I had a simple question about the soup she would just look at me like I was stupid. We have been coming in to soup forever and we have never had bad service from the girls working there. Bring back the your old crew! They are why we would even go in there for lunch, those ladies were always sweet, funny, and organized and now this place seems to just be going down hill.

They were out of bread sticks and the soup was only warm. Best hot ham and cheese around!! Felt slightly over priced.

I came in today and I got yelled at for pointing at a bowl I wanted , when a man who came in speaking Spanish couldn’t understand her the lady yelled at him . So disrespectful and so rude to everyone who walked in , she was super rude to door dash drivers also . Yelling at them telling them she didn’t have the order and telling them he doesn’t speak English so she could not talk to him , I love the food and the little lady but that one lady complains the whole time about her doing her job

Loved the ladies.. great food and service.. we go there a few times a month
I’ve been coming to The Soup Kitchen for well over 6 months now, it’s super close to my job, has some of the best chicken noodle soup I’ve ever had in my LIFE. The sandwiches are good!
It’s all honest food, definitely Mom and Pop shop vibes and it feels good supporting locally. The staff there is normally pretty friendly, there’s an older lady who is normally making the food or working the register, bless her heart she’s the sweetest and has never let me down or made me feel anything but welcome.

I had come in to pick up an online order like I’d done so many different times before but this time it was for my whole team at work, thus it needed to be written off as a business expense.
I realized after I had picked up the food I did not get an itemized receipt with the total on it.
I drove back during my 30 minute lunch break to hopefully just grab a quick receipt.
I patiently waited in the long line only to be greeted by a slightly annoyed middle aged woman, who, once I had asked for what I needed (an itemized receipt), said she couldn’t do that for me, the older woman had come to show her how it was done, from there it escalated very quickly,
The middle aged woman immediately began saying that she would be written up because of me because her till would be off ???
I tried to apologize and told her maybe their policy should be changed because I’ve never heard of a situation like this having worked in food service and customer service in general for years.
She was severely unprofessional and had a rude tone, she asked me to “step out of line so she could help everyone else who only had a 30 min lunch” to which I responded I only had a 30 min lunch and had just spent over 20 minutes there dealing with her sour attitude for something that was a very simple ask.
She talked down to me and when I questioned why she was being so rude she replied with “I don’t understand what you’re not getting”.
She also showed me the wrong order and tried to tell me it was mine and then when she finally handed me my the receipt it was in the pettiest way possible.
I have been scorned and my feelings deeply hurt. I’m not sure what that lady was going through but as a loyal customer who has never done anything but spoken highly of this establishment, I can say I will not be returning for a long while.
This place hits the spot every time we have been coming here for a long time and it's all good food.
