After eating at Stanza, I couldn't believe I'd never eaten here before. The food here was an unexpected treat. The flavors in every dish complimented each other in such a way that I didn't think were possible. Typically, when I go out to eat, I may find one or two things I want to try. However, this place offered so many delicious descriptions of their dishes that I couldn't pick between 5 or 6 different dishes. I chose the pecan crusted rack of lamb. I'm so glad I did because it was cooked to perfection, and the flavor was devine. The mascerpone polenta was a flavorful surprise. Order it! You won't be disappointed. The Kallette salad and the linguine dish were a knockout! Every bite offered the most amazing flavors. You seriously can't go wrong with whatever you order here. This place is seriously a secret surprise! I'm gonna come back here and have told several of my friends about since dining here. Besides the food, the atmosphere is nice and inviting. More than enough room for you and others without feeling like you're on top of each other. No obnoxious loud music to have to deal with like these new places popping up all over SLC. There is plenty of packing and a nice patio. Just go! You can thank me later.

This place offers interesting and high-quality food but I wish there were more options available. However, I enjoyed the modern and fashionable atmosphere.

Our favorite italian restaurant by far! The food and staff are amazing and the ambiance is perfect. We really enjoy dining here!!
Very nice, modern restaurant. Super pretty and elegant. The food is really good, wine is excellent, service is great. And if you’re vegan they offer a vegan menu, they are very nice and they helpful with the menu.

We have loved Stanza for its outstanding food and service until last night. Not sure if the restaurant has changed hands but the food last night was so different from just 6 months ago. The lamb was raw and tough, the small plates were indeed small, the bread was meh, and the service was less than stellar. Sadly we will not be going back, which is a shame as we have loved Stanza, but when you pay that much for a meal, you at least expect it to be decent.and this dinner was anything but! You would think that if you sent out raw lamb chops you would at the very least apologize! Save you hard earned money and try another Italian restaurant.

I ordered the steak and was extremely disappointed in how it turned out. Whoever cooked the steak has no clue what they were doing. I ordered medium-rare and I first cut into it and the entire middle was cold. I’ve never had that happen at a restaurant. They took the steak back and recooked the same steak, and when it came out it was well done. I hate complaining and don’t want to be overbearing at a restaurant, but I felt like asking for it to be removed from my bill was reasonable. I ate one or two bites of it and was sort of just done with the experience and couldn’t stomach anymore. Zero compensation for a 6oz steak I was super excited for and only ate one bite of for being the most underdone and then somehow also overdone steak I’ve ever had at a restaurant, and I ended up paying over $50 for a very poorly cooked steak and a long wait.

I was here on a business dinner and it was one of the worst meals I've had in a long time. The lasagna was tasteless with overdone/crisp bolognese. Really had no taste!! The calamari was overfried. The arancini appetizers were nice. The burrata salad was cramped with lettuce, unlike how it is usually served. Service and atmosphere was very good, though. May have been just a bad day, but I will give this place a miss going forward.

Our server Lyndsey was absolutely amazing! I ordered the Marcella chicken but half way through it was bloody and looked very unappetizing. The manager Michael came over to ask how everything was and I showed him the bloody chicken and he told me that’s how it’s cooked, surveyed and comes out pink, but mine came out bloody. He Only took six dollars off of a $40 dish. Needless to say this is a place that I will not be coming back to.
I'll preface that the atmosphere and service are really good. I very frequently order Italian meals, so I was surprised by the pasta dishes. I had the linguine all'aragosta e gamberetti. It had a sweetness to it that was almost distracting so I ended up sending it back. I then had the lasagna which was just okay. Our table ordered the Frito misto appetizer which was not bad, but a lot of batter was falling off the food. My friends rated their food ~6/10 for the rigatoni alla bolognese and the 9- grain pasta. Horace, the drinks were very good. So overall, the food was just okay but everything else was nice.

The tomato soup was one of the best I’ve had. Skip the overly creamy steak sandwich. Salad with prosciutto also solid

This is a spacious restaurant - seating is comfy and you're not rubbing elbows in the literal sense with other diners. The menu here is very good - I'm a vegetarian, so this checks the boxes for me. But there is something for everyone - and portions are quite large - so bring a healthy appetite when you visit. I'm a regular customer here. The staff is wonderful and eager to please. Enjoy!
