I was in Salt Lake for a quick trip and a friend of mine recommended this place. We showed up around 5pm on a Wednesday and were seated right away, the lady who served our table was beyond helpful, kind, and polite. She had great suggestions and was very attentive. We ordered the Indian salad, garlic Naan, chicken curry, and Muglai (lamb) Biryani. All of the food was phenomenal and the experience was great, I would be here all the time if I lived in the area because it was so delicious and very friendly service.

The food here is amazing, but I had a problem with my online order. The delivery person dropped it off at the wrong place and didn't answer the phone. I contacted DoorDash, and they refunded the money to the restaurant. Even though Star of India said they would give me a refund, I never got it after trying multiple times. It feels unsettling to order from this restaurant again.

My daughter and I had dinner at the Star of India and it was wonderful! My daughter knew that she wanted to order what her husband had brought home a couple of weeks ago, but did not know the name of the entree. The owner was the one who stated us, then she went over the menu with her as she described the food and they found it! Customer service unheard of nowdays. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful. The scents and aromas in the restaurant were as delicious as our meal. The food and the warm welcome made us want to visit this restaurant many times again.Vegetarian options: My daughter is vegetarian and found several items on the menu she could order. Most dishes could be made with or without meat.
