This is a really nice coffee shop; it is kind of hidden, but it is good. Their cold brew is really good, and I tried the Cuban Revolver, which was good too! The place has great seating for a big group.

Good coffee, food and rare place that also serves wine and beer. Staff is very nice. Just not very cosy but otherwise love the overall vibe.

I have been going to Sugarhouse Coffee consistently for about a year. Today, I got the breakfast burrito which is $8.25 which is advertised as 3 eggs and meat or veggies along with two protein bites, a Peruvian cookie, and a mocha.
All of the items I immediately received were good as well as the mocha. When I received my breakfast burrito, it was skimpy. The first bite was good, the second was nothing but a mouthful of tortilla. A three egg burrito should have fillings in each bite, especially for $8.25.
I went to ask to have the burrito remade because it was skimpy. To their credit, the employees did remake the burrito for me which I appreciate.
I got full and requested a small to-go box so I could eat the rest of my burrito later. I was then told by an employee that they lost money on the order so I could not have a small to-go box. I then said I should not be punished for them being skimpy with the ingredients they placed in my burrito.
There were bigger to-go boxes on the condiments table which I opted for even though I was trying to reduce my waste. I put everything left over inside and as I walked out, I stopped to say, “I want you to know that I have been coming to Sugarhouse Coffee at least twice a week for a while and I will not be coming back for at least one maybe two years. I should not be punished for my burrito being skimpy.” I’m not sure if it was the manager or the owner who then chimed in and said, “good luck to you” to which I replied, “I will not be coming back”. They then said “we lost money on your order. We pay $1 per egg and so we lost a bunch of money on you.” I then said, “you all are not hurting for money” and I left.
The ridiculous thing about this is that Harmons eggs are about $6 for a dozen which comes out to $.50 per egg. Since Sugarhouse Coffee is a business, they get these for a bulk price, meaning they pay less. Even if they did happen to use a total of 6 eggs on me with Harmons egg prices, that only equals $3. Plus, it is not the fault of a customer that a service employee did not make a breakfast burrito without being skimpy. On the contrary, it is the job of a business to make a customer happy by making the food received worth the money paid.
Also, am I being punished for not being a member of the ‘clean plate club’? I thought we were adults and can listen to constructive feedback. I thought I was within my right to stop eating when I am full.
I worry for myself and future customers of Sugarhouse Coffee. Do they single folks out who speak their mind? I thought Sugarhouse Coffee was ‘safe place where everyone can share their story’. Does this only extend to those who conform? Does this extend only to those who are rich? Does this extend only to those who push down their concerns?
I doubt the sincerity of Sugarhouse Coffee and I would highly recommend considering other gathering places that will listen and sincerely care about customers. I will be getting my coffee at other gathering places that live up to open minded values. I want to go to a place that chooses to go high rather than low, even when the level of discomfort between customer and employee rises.

Here’s the revised version of your review:

Great coffee and carrot cake. The cappuccino was really good; my only dissatisfaction was with the foam. It needed to be smoother rather than just dropped on top.
