Sugar House Distillery

We had the pleasure of visiting Sugar House Distillery while on vacation. It has an industrial store-front first impression, but as soon as you walk through the front door and see the attractive lobby area and working warehouse in view, you feel the energy of the place. Steve welcomed us into the warehouse. With copper kettles in the background, he gave us an education (with passion and enthusiasm) on the process and art of creating their brand. We appreciated the historical information as well as comparison to other processes in other parts of the world. We enjoyed many samples of various products Sugar House makes. It is obvious they really care about what they do. Our son left with a bottle of the most delicious vodka. We were completely impressed and are the newest fans of the Sugar House Distillery and their product line. I will never drink whiskey again without thinking of all the care that goes into creating it. So much fun!!

Doesn’t taste even a little bit like urine.

Man, oh man, they make some great whiskey! Their Rye is really unique, unlike any other rye I've had in a very good way. There is a sweet, fruitiness on the back end, almost a hint of apricot that is just wild. My wife LOVES rye and just adored this stuff.

Their wine cask finished whiskey was like having desert after a good meal. Kind of decadent with just a mouthful of flavors. I think they only see that at the distillery, but 100% worth stopping by to get some.

Their Single Malt just grows and grows on you. It was the first bottle of whiskey I ever bought and now I can't get enough of it. Definitely worth picking up.

Do yourself a favor and check these guys out if you're in SLC (or passing through) Definitely worth the stop.

My wife and I love sugarhouse, but we go with Tito‘s because it is so hard to open the bottle with that cork top. sugarhouse is good just a thought change the cork to a scone and I’m sold, I wonder how many other people feel the same way comment if you feel the same way

By far my favorite. I'm not one to drink much but the Raspberry Vodka might turn me into an alcoholic!

From not knowing they existed to have g the owner James and his lovely wife walk us around talking about the whole process of how they work and showing their whole facility. Koolest bunch of people. I will for ever be a customer and only buying directly from them. Maybe from the liquor store on occasion. From having a sample to buyin $200 of product from them. Love it soo much. Great stuff

What an absolute nice little gem this was! The owner James and his crew, Steve, and the Ryan twins were so welcoming. The tastings are only $10/each and everything so tasty. I highly recommended it!

Sugarhouse Distillery and their products are the best that we have in the state of Utah …hands-down. In fact, their bourbon and rye are one of the best in the nation, sorry Kentucky. They take great pride in their process and it shows, James and his team are quite talented. Their golden rum is amazing and their vodka is hands down better than anything produced in the states but one of the surprising products they make are the pre-mixed cocktails.. my favorite is the raspberry vodka lemonade and also the whiskey sours but they are all delicious and the perfect breakfast treat ?. Lastly, all of their products are available at the store front in SLC which is wonderful if you can’t get it at your local ABC. Enjoy!!

Product taste delicious but they are still packaging a 4-pack together with plastic. I'm doing better as an individual buy companies REALLY need to step up. Let's all be better.

Rad rad rad rad.Best vodka I’ve had in Salt Lake City yet! 81 proof! I love it here and their emphasis on good distillation is just the start. :)

New favorite beverage... The Raspberry Lemonade Vodka is AMAZING and fresh. I've been taken aback by a lot of these canned items at the liquor store. Bleck... Seltzer's and such... Just flavors and tastes that don't make sense... But this raspberry lemonade is fantastic!

Small place, friendly staff, you are ably to try a flight of all the spirits for a small fee. Good Rye whiskey.

We dropped by this distillery looking for a tasting and had a great experience! Christopher walked us through a variety of spirits and taught us a lot about the distillery, spirits, and more-we learned so much more than expected and were then able to pick up on the nuances in our tasting. Christopher was a great guide, super informative and helpful. The spirits were delicious and we bought a few bottles. A great stop to learn about some high quality work being done by an up and coming distillery!

Great distillery I love there burbon and rye whiskey one of the best I've had , would definitely recommend to check them out and do I tasting they make great liquor
