This restaurant hasn't served a single person since I got here in the food court and I know why. I went and stood to place an order and their 4 workers were talking with each other just across the counter from me. Not a one even looked my way. After a moment of standing there, I left and ordered a philly at another restaurant. If I were the owner, I would not be happy.
Good Food. But if they're going to charge $6.27 for a flan. they better make sure they give it to you instead of not giving it to you and charging you. this is unacceptable.
Let's face it, it's at a mall.
Yet it absolutely does not stop the red iguana crew from always pulling off one of the best mexican meals I will eat, each time.
Huge portions, beautiful to look at, and absolutely delicious. Fabulous service, as well.
God bless the Cardenas family.
One of my absolute favorites at city creek! The meals are affordable and never disappoint- My recommendation is enchilada meal #4, comes with rice, beans, chips & salsa and a drink
I have always loved stopping here for lunch while working downtown. Staff is always friendly and food is always fresh. I enjoy the daily special, and the chips and salsa always hit the spot.
First and Last time I eat here. Food was over priced and portions are small.
Oh gosh. The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars and not 1 is because the staff were extremely nice and so helpful. If I was only rating the staff it would be a 5 star review.
I wish the quality of the staff equally matched the quality of the food, but it does not. This mini chain is highly overrated. The lack of flavor is extremely disappointing. The only thing that had any flavor was the salsa and chips. I ordered the veggie chimichanga, it was just a cheesy mess. The veggies were overcooked and extremely bland. My husband ordered the pork tacos, the pork had flavor, but it was so dry and not good at all. Do not waste your money eating here. Or maybe we just ordered the wrong food items. My husband had tried the Red Iguana main store, he was disappointed in the food there too, but he wanted to try this place just incase it would taste better since it has such a hype. We do not agree and would never recommend you eating here unless if they change their food preparation for the better. The staff should get a raise they are hard working and very nice!!
It's not worth it to pay 20 dollars for only two enchiladas and two small portions of rice and beans, and it barely tasted good.
When a restaurant has almost 3.5 stars there's a reason. So many other places in SLC are better. Red iguana has awful food and worse staff. The roaches are doing well though!
Portions were tiny and they charged $0.25 for tap water???!!! That's ridiculous.

Take your business elsewhere. They will charge you for tap water. Yes. Tap water. Not bottled water. Tap water. They have reached a new low.
Food tasted like it had been sitting out all day. Especially disappointing since it was during the lunch rush.
The food tasted good, but the prices for the portions are such that we won't be eating there again. It was like $15 for a portion equivalent to a kid's meal. Literally. My 2-year-old ate 95% of an adult order. The adults had to eat more food when we got home. Normally Mexican food is cheap or comes in huge portions if you're going to pay that much. I suppose the name of the place is fitting - you just get a taste.
Tacos were dry, enchiladas were sweet and tasted like cinnamon and the meat was very dry. They also forced a tip at check out. It was $40 for tacos and enchilada plate.
Wow! The taste is amazing. Seriously, if you like Tex-Mex, this is definitely a place to take in. Had we eaten there the first day, we would have ate there everyday of our trip.
