Best restaurant to view the Angel Moroni. 1st roll table were the best to view him. Rooftop opened upon request. I tried the Buffett. Was great!

Over-priced buffet style food. Options are okay, but nothing spectacular. Desserts are a bit better, because well it's ddessert. The waitresses only bring drinks, and though you have to have a reservation to eat there, they are VERY VERY stingy with how long you can stay and eat. They get rude if you are longer than 30 minutes and start hinting for you to leave even if you aren't done. At the 45 minute mark they kick you out. Now, this wouldn't be an issue, if they tell you when you make a reservation you have a time limit, that would be different. With what you spend to eat there, you would think you would be treated better.

What a great first impression of Salt Lake City! WOW, these people do not mess around when it comes to food, service and architecture. All of the food was fantastic and they had a great selection. The desserts were drool worthy. I ate so much that I almost felt a little sick by the time we were finished. The view was incredible! The servers were also very efficient and friendly. Would've been great to have a glass of wine with this meal, but I respect their customs.

My wife and I loved this place. The service has always been exceptional. The atmosphere of the restaurant is our favorite part. I loved it enough that I become a pianist there for a few years before they closed for renovations.

We really love the views, and try to make it up here during the holidays, when you reserve your table, you can ask for something by the window, then you can get something that looks down on the lights. Great live entertainment with the piano too! The food is delicious, but with big parties coming in during the holidays, lines can form pretty quickly, which kind of detracts from the upscale atmosphere for me.

This is an old review and is based on before they closed during pandemic/renovation. Found some photos so I decided to write this review anyway. Cost of buffet is on the high range but what you're paying for here is the view. I've dine here several times but there's nothing spectacular in this restaurant. Poor ambience, dated interior, food is comparable to Chuck-a-rama in terms of taste but in an upgraded presentation, service I guess is ok and you have a live piano playing in the background while dining. Other than that, not worth the trip. I do hope though that they will make some great or grand improvements when they reopen to make it worthwhile.

The location is what you are paying for. It's like a fancy pot luck or church dinner. Nothing that was supposed to be hot was hot, nothing that was supposed to be cold was cold. It was all room temperature and not worth the money. The cheese plate was mostly cheddar and Swiss, not anything I would brag about.

The Roof is such an SLC must-do. The service is impeccable, the buffet is incredible, and - above all - the view makes for an amazing dining experience.
