This was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a hotel restaurant. The food is delicious and the cocktails are bar none the best I’ve ever had (and that’s saying something, visiting from Reno, NV). My daughter was here for a clinical trial at the U of U. They went out of their way to accommodate her at the restaurant and and our servers would even take some down time to sit and talk about why we were here. They honestly took an interest in US. Servers were lovely and attentive. Thank you to Thistle and Thyme for taking such good care of us! We will see you soon!

Found hair in food. My friend chocked on the hair. Then waiter argued about the presence of the hair. Very unpleasant experience.

Okay, so I violated my own rule that I never eat dinner at a hotel restaurant. I was tired and there was nothing close by. Also, it is important to note that I NEVER write reviews. I am also not a particular eater. I ordered a chicken BLT which took at least 20 minutes to prepare. When it arrived, you could clearly see the plate had been sitting for a while based on the fact that the veggies had congealed together in one spot. The bun was soggy and the chicken was rubberier than a super ball!! I took two bites and returned it. I then ordered a salad with 3 shrimp (extra $10) which also came about 15-20 minutes later. I'll say it was passable at best. I was hungry and I didn't even finish it. I almost never return food by the way!! I highly recommend you steer clear of this restaurant and venture out or order in.

Just don't. It was mortifying to have suggested this place to friends. The servers sincerely tried to rectify the situation (a meltdown in the kitchen) and I felt sorry for them, but I've never seen anything like it in my life.

Dined for lunch with friends from out of town and was utterly mortified by the experience. This was THE worst "meal" I've had in my life. They were having a meltdown in the kitchen and should have so informed us so that we could have sought a different lunch venue. I wish I'd known this was "hotel food". Marriot should be notified. I just wish I'd taken pictures, it was beyond words.

We dined at the breakfast buffet and at $23 per person, you'd expect something nice, but in all honesty, it's far inferior to a Super 8 and actually, kind of gross. The eggs were stone cold...steam cooked for that weird texture no human being enjoys. Pork sausage was so dehydrated it looked and had a similar texture to a Cheeto you found 10 years into the apocalypse. The potatoes, also cold, were ultra salted. You'd have a better mouth flavor if you mouth breath in the ocean waves or licked the railing of an ocean cruiseliner. The muffins looked moist, but that was a mirage...once touched they crumbled into a desiccated pile of lumpy dust. Was the food procured from some time capsule that was just unearthed? Either way, like the fated time capsule...see ya in another hundred years!

Super cool neighborhood place. Smallish menu where everything we had was outstanding! We will definitely be going back.

Breakfast at Thistle & Thyme. The environment itself was nice. Food:Husband ordered the 'All American' = two eggs any style with potatoes, choose bacon or sausage, and toast, includes coffee... $15 == small eggs, potatoes where fried with a sugar coating, potatoes where good but wasn't expecting to get a sugar load. The bacon was not good at all, this wasn't bacon anymore it was very over fried. He couldn't sub the eggs for a pancake .... so he ordered a pancake on the side which was your typical American delicious pancake. The toast was ... wel a toast. I ordered the 'Avocado Toast, grape tomatoes, red onion spring mix... $15 (add an egg any style for an additional... $1' == it was way too salty. I am the first person to season my food with a lot (really a lot) of pepper and salt but this was just too much. Not worth the $15. It would have been a lot nicer if it would've come with smoked salmon. Service: they refilled the coffee constantly which was really nice. But after giving them our credit card and asking for coffee to go, it took them forever to come back to us. We eventually asked 4times to 3 different people...The $20 buffet was probably a better option as the menu itself is rather limited. Will not recommend. Also; somebody else complaint about his egg, he ordered sunny side up but it wasn't a sunny side up so he rightfully complaint. They gave hima new egg but it still wasn't a sunny side up. The customer accepted it as it was taking them too long to try another time haha ...

For the people giving this place bad reviews, they must have completely got new cooks and staff. 12-27-22 food was excellent and service was great. I would come eat here even if i wasn't staying at hotel. Def will eat here everytime im in town

I read the reviews, but I really hoped are food would have been better. They over cooked are meat so bad. My chicken was like beef jerky. My husband had the hamburger and it was dry with no flavor. The quesadilla was really good and I enjoyed their fries. I think I would be scared to order a steak here especially for the price. We went to the Ruby River for dinner, not too far away. I had the best filet mignon steak I’ve ever had in my life!!!

Surprisingly good for a Marriott restaurant I started with a cup of NE Clam Chowder that was your standard fare but full of tender crab meat. Ordered the Grilled Pork Chop with asparagus and fried polenta and was so glad I did as the server warned me that it would take some time due to being thick...yay! Boy was it thick! And perfectly cooked medium rare too! It had an apple compote that was a nice touch. The asparagus were small, tender and yummy and the polenta was creamy in the middle with a nice crispy outside. Really enjoyed the meal. Glad I get to stay here often.
