I really wanted to like this place but we took the family out and the food was pretty disappointing. Even the gyozas were nasty and that's like a universal favorite. For mediocre food it was so costly! And there was a auto gratuity fee that's easy to overlook and it still asks for another tip. That's a little sleezy if you aren't paying attention. The only good thing was the ginger tea was super good but I can get a ginger tea by walking up by cinemark and get the same tea at the same price with a larger amount.

Tables and chairs had dried food on it and everything was sticky. Rolls were sub par. I’ve tried mussel shooters at several other places around the valley, this place was the worst. WAY too much sauce. The best part was the Coke Zero and that was because it came out of a can…. The waitress was great, but it seemed that the guys making the food in the back were callous and unenthusiastic about making good food. There was a reason this place was empty at 12:30 on a Saturday. They charged $75 for a terrible meal. For example, the shooters at Hama in Saratoga Springs were $5 and this place was $10. I hope they step up their game. The burger place next door is great though.
Overpriced for really sub par food. The rolls were covered in sauce and poorly made. Tables and chairs were dirty as if they hadn’t been wiped up after the last patrons sat there. Terrible loud music playing. Definitely avoid this place

The food was incredible! They had quick service, sat us immediately. The only reason for the 4 star is because the sushi is more expensive then where I usually go

2/8/25 - I went to Tokai Sushi with my girlfriend and her daughter for lunch. We sat down to what we hoped would be a good dining experience. It was anything but. Our order was taken promptly. That is the only positive about the experience. The food brought out piece-meal, that is to say at different times. These were not difficult orders but all of them were brought out at different intervals. Mine was the last to come to the table and it was 30 MINUTES after the first dish was served to the daughter. The food was subpar at best and uneatable at worst. There was a lot of food let on the table when we departed. There was no compensation for the terrible service or food. Let me not forget how expensive this place is. With a small tip it was $100 for LUNCH for three (3) people. This is one establishment I will never frequent again and I suggest you don't either.

One of the best ramen and sushi restaurants I've been to! Though I have been to restaurants with more atmosphere. Simplicity is still very nice!

Tokai Sushi was SO GOOD! As soon as my friends and I walked in, a waiter greeted us and got us seated. The environment seemed really friendly and the lanterns gave it a cool ambience type of feel. We actually went twice, so I’m kind of smooshing it all into one review (lol). I don’t remember exactly what we all got, but I ordered the Kimchi soup the first time (I don’t recommend, I couldn’t handle the taste) but the second time I got the (miso or the third one down?) soup and it was REALLY good. We ordered a bunch of different sushi, I think I got an eel avocado roll, Playboy, and Las Vegas - the last two were really good and I loved the flavors. But tbh you can’t go wrong with any of the sushi. So yeah, would highly recommend.

i went here for the first time yesterday with my son . we wanted sushi and ramen and found this place. as soon as we walked in it smelled like humid nasty mop water. wich should've been enough of a sign that this place wasn't clean , but i went in . it looked cute and all but smelled nasty . we ordered a kids meal, a ramen, and sushi. the waiter never brought us soy sauce after the sushi . we had to wait a long time before he ever walked back . the cups smelled like they were cleaned with a dirty rag. the ramen tasted like how the place smelled, like nasty stagnant water, and even nastier taste . The meat in it tasted like freezer burn and has a texture like rubber., I described to the server when he came with out check I didn't eat it because it literally tasted like soap. and he said " but did u see soap in it? " I'm like no, but it tastes like when ur in the shower and accidentally get shampoo in ur mouth and he rolled his eyes. the only good thing was the sushi. I feel like the ramen was trash . my sons food was gross too. first of all , it was all cold, like straight out the fridge cold. the rice was nasty and some parts not even cooked all the way, the rest was slimey. the tempura shrimp tasted like leftovers that were in the fridge for a week. nasty. the only thing he ate was the teriyaki chicken, wich was cold but at least had sauce and tasted like something. the rest we left . he didn't offer to remove the ramen of the check, that I didn't even eat and only tasted , 98%of it was still in the bowl, or offer to reheat my sons food . the server was rude and snobby and didn't care at all. I didn't make a big scene and demand a refund or anything. I told him all the issues and he didn't really care at all. honestly never going back. but if u love ramen that tastes like they got dirty mop water and washed their feet in it go ahead Disgusting . Moral of the story, don't trust a place that smells like dirty mop. As cute as it looks from a distance, that smell will describe everything else. Unpleasant , rude waiter, and nasty. also my son and I went to the restroom, through some little curtains in the back. we pass by their kiosk where they put in orders and passed by peoples food waiting to be taken out. Literally right next to u. We could've touched it or accidentally spilled it, and it was right by the bathroom door on a little table, uncovered. I could've sneezed on it, grabbed it, and the server would still take it out. it is so unsanitary! Right by the bathroom door, nasty.
