Absolutely the worst !! The wait was about 20 minutes for 2 sandwiches. One woman did all the work while the other flited around occasionally answering the phone.
The Roasted Reds sandwich was overloaded with sauce on an untoasted bun rendering it a soggy mess. Eating it with a fork might have been an option if forks had been available but only knives and spoons in the bin. Couldn't even throw it away because there was no trash can in the eating area.
The pastrami sandwich was merely ok. Sort of ruined by the pickles that were not listed on the menu. At least I could pick them out.
This location does not live up to the standard set by TCs downtown. I'll go to the bagel shop next door when I'm in the neighborhood again.

Normally have a good experience here, but today was very different. Meatballs weren't ready when the website says they should be. My order was taken incorrectly at the counter and was quickly fixed. However, when I got home and opened my sandwich it was on the completely wrong bread and was tiny. The meat and cheese were smashed into a small pile and the whole thing looked pathetic.

This shop has a fun and artsy vibe. Great arrangement of local and imported products (many from Italy). It’s a good time just walking around and seeing what’s for sale.

I’ve eaten here a few times, and I’ve liked it overall. The muffuletta was delicious, as was the hot pastrami. Due to the nature of the pastrami sandwich, it does not hold or travel well. I recommend that for dine-in. The salads were meh and a little dry (the antipasto, Greek, caprese) and I wouldn’t get again.

I will come back! Good high quality olive oils and chocolates, too, sold here.

Wheelchair accessibility: Too small and crowded for a wheelchair to fit

They did not inform me that there was an extra charge added due to a credit card minimum. I would have added something to the order to avoid this if I would have known.
Sandwiches seem smaller than they used to but are still good.

Now that I have been here at least three times I can review fairly- I so wanted to give this place a 5 star but each time I just have been disappointed.

The atmosphere is awesome, the store is cute and products, placement looks artsy. Many of the products in the store seem amazing and worth trying so I waited to try them again, maybe the first time they had just made a mistake. We ate here a few times, tried various items (meatball sandwich, soups, salad, tiramisu and other cookies and their coffee).

Each time the quality is a-okay, sort of similar to what you’d find in a nice grocery store, not in an artsy Italian cafe. but most disappointing- for a nice cafe the food somehow always comes out smashed, every time I ask them that we are eating in they still wrap my food. Coffee comes in only paper cup regardless if you eat in. It just seems unfitting for an establishment like this to smash wrap a sandwich in foil packaging, and serve coffee in a cheap paper cup.

Great italian sandwiches. The muffaletta is my favorite, but I have yet to have a bad sandwich.

Really disappointed in Caputos (which I have liked). The Muffaletta is one of the worst sandwiches I have ever tasted. I'm not sure how they claim that bread is "ciabatta." Not even close. Make sure you get anything here on the Italian roll instead. And the spicy olive salad was simply inedible. Ended up giving most of it to my dogs. Wish on could get my money back on this disaster. $15 up in smoke. Be sure and do the Caputo or Meatball instead.

Caputo's is always amazing. My favorite is their meatball sandwich with extra marinara. Every sandwich is superb though. If you're in SLC, this is absolutely a place to stop!!

I wasn’t expecting much from a cup of black coffee that I pumped out of a airpot, and wasn’t sure if the chocolate chip cookie would live up to the hype, but they were both delicious! This was my first time going into a Caputo’s but it definitely has a reputation for excellence that I can understand. Less of a foodie than I once was, I still maintain a strong appreciation for high quality food… the store is a cool or food lovers paradise.
The deli part of the shop itself is a little confusing and chaotic to know how/where to order or pay or pick up… with no instruction or help from the cashier who probably just assumed I knew, even though I had no idea where to find said cookie… or coffee… but clearly I figured it out. I’ll be back to try some of the deli faves next time!

I am visiting SLC again having lived here before and was pretty disappointed. The “half” size sandwich was maybe 4 inches long for $9. The ordering process is silly, you kind of stand around in front of the counter I guess without much in the way of directions. Wait is too long for mediocre grub. Oh well, hopefully they can improve - used to like this spot.Edit: What an awful response from the shop … no voucher, no attempt to make thing right. I certainly won’t be back now.

Didn't eat here, was here to shop for products and deli. This Iocation doesn't match the downtown location in selection or staffing. Very slow service, prices changed at the cash register without apology or explanation
