I was vacationing from out of town and never heard of Tony burgers before but I placed an order through GrubHub. it was the most delicious burger I had ever had. it was an impossible burger with a fried egg, onion straws, pickles, lettuce, pepper jack cheese, and provolone. it was amazing.

I eat Tonyburgers very often, like an unhealthy amount of times a week. I moved a couple of months ago and this is the closest location to me so I’ve eaten here a couple of times within the last few months. But my most recent visit was disappointing enough that I don’t feel comfortable returning.

I placed an order on May 13th and when I arrived they were closed due to a power outage. I tried opening the door to ask how I should cancel my order, but it was locked. I then called the restaurant 3 separate times (which I have proof of), but obviously no one answered.

A few days later, I checked my account and realized I had still been charged for the meal I never received. I called to ask for a refund and the employee I spoke with offered to remake the order instead. Since I was already running errands nearby, I agreed and went to pick it up.

The woman at the register was very rude. She kept implying that I picked up the order the day they were closed, even though their doors were locked! Her first comment was, “I was here that day,” and she continued saying she handed out all of the orders. I was caught off guard and clarified that I was talking about the day of the power outage. She confirmed, said they were closed for 4 hours that day then kept repeating that she was here all day and that she handed out ALL of the orders.

When I told her that I tried to open the door but it was locked, she then very rudely said “I’m giving you the order, but I was here that day”. Which made me feel like she was insinuating that I was trying to get free food??? I should’ve just asked for a refund at that point but I felt bad that the food was already prepared and I didn’t want to waste it.

*You can check the cameras, I never received my food the day of the outage.*

I even tried showing her the order on my phone and told her again that the doors were locked when I arrived and she was just persistently rude to the point that I thought I was somehow mistaken about the situation. But I also placed an order from Cafe Zupas (the restaurant next door) on the same day/time for my fiancée, but of course, when I arrived they were also closed due to the same outage and that order was canceled, so I know I’m not mistaken.

What made it even more uncomfortable was turning around and realizing there were other customers behind me who had witnessed the interaction. It was embarrassing to feel like I was being treated as if I had done something wrong when I was only trying to pick up an order I had already paid for and never received.

The food here is good, but customer service matters too. I understand outages happen and mistakes happen, but being treated like I was dishonest and stealing after being charged for food I never received left a very bad impression.

If you want to try the food, I’d probably stick to other locations.

It was ok but greasy and so way expensive and not worth a 10 to 12 dollars just for the burger. Then you pay 8 dollars just have a combo fries and a drink nah won't be back. Sorry but this place may just go out of business if it keeps adding to their prices
I would recommend Crown Burger, Burley Burger, In and Out and or a salad. All I am saying is beware of what ya spend it on when you can get better elsewhere. I know that sucks but once this place can say their burger and nothing else is worth 12 dollars well I would say maybe just maybe. I will be getting a burger elsewhere sorry Tony but my stomach hurts with that grease of something not calling meat.

Love Tony burgers and encourage anyone to support OTHER locations as this location pays for predatory booting. Even if half your party from the same car walks to eat at Tony burgers and the other half eats at Taco Bell you’ll get a $80 boot within 5 min of picking up your order. Do not support businesses that extort others.

Gave me wrong order (ordered a big tony they gave me a small) when I told them they said I was wrong, threw away my old wrong burger and pay the difference for my new one, they apparently weren’t listening while I was ordering and somehow that is my fault, burger still tasted good tho

It was my first time here. I have never even heard of this place. Honestly, top notch. The meat on my burger, was perfectly cooked, and seasoned full of flavor. The lettuce used, and tomato on top, could each individually tasted. It is so rare to find a burger with all of the flavors separated. The breading on cheese curds, was crunchy, in the way you didn't know you needed, but you did.

The service was honestly top notch, greeted and eating in a matter of minutes. Pleasant vibe and atmosphere. I will be dining here as frequently as possible.

My burger was dry, like it sat on the grill for a couple of hours. Also, I swear the burger topping options used to be better.

Congratulations to me with my first food poisoning in SLC! I’m writing this comment for you to additionally work with your personnel and to remind them about rules when you deal with food or maybe check how you keep the food.

Yesterday my husband bought two burgers with promotion (buy 1 get the second for free) and after eating it (that was very tasty though that’s why I give 3 starts) I was throwing up at night and I didn’t eat or drink anything else that evening and I know these burgers were the reason since my husband who usually digest everything also felt nauseous that evening.

PS you can see that they asked me to connect with them via email, I texted them, but never get a reply back.
