The drinks were amazing! As well as the crab dip and bourbon pudding. But our main dishes lacked flavor and the salmon was very dry. Honestly, wasn’t worth the hype for us or the cost and I doubt we will be returning.

Google states this is an American restaurant which it is not. It is a bar. White horse needs to update their website so this is accurate. We drove out of our way to come here only to show up and find out it was a bar and we could not bring in kids. Very disappointed with the false advertising on google.

I've come twice while visiting SLC and loved it both times despite my dietary restrictions! Our favorites this time were the salmon (pictured without sauce since I don't eat dairy, although it really doesnt need it as it's very moist) and the cauliflower. The salmon was cooked PERFECTLY! Which is really hard to get at a restaurant in my experience since most places overcook it. I was even more surprised that it was so spot-on medium because the skin was super crispy, almost like a chip! I thought for sure the meat would be well done but nope. The cauliflower was just cauliflower BUT the hummus and chimichurri elevate it to a spectacular place. The only moderate feedback I think could be useful is that the house shrub had way too much vinegar in it; neither of us could taste the strawberry rhubarb at all and it was insanely sour. Like taking shots of carbonated apple cider vinegar. My sister still finished it since she's a trooper and figured the vinegar would help with her upset stomach (from earlier in the day, not from dinner). A couple of the fried oysters were pretty fishy as well, maybe due to their size, but the ones that were more clean tasting were incredible!

The Brussels sprouts were too salty. The egg and chips were yummy but overhyped. The chocolate lava cake with cherries was the best dish I had (though I wish they’d done something with the cherries instead of just throw them on the plate). Excellent service at the bar. Less than 25% full on a Sunday afternoon.

YES! This is the place! What a selection of bourbon and whiskey! It's such a vibe here, even if it's just to go to the bar for a well crafted cocktail. Fantastic old fashioned. The bartenders are so well versed and provide a friendly atmosphere. It's definitely a unique place, and we enjoyed our time here.

During a recent business trip to Salt Lake City, i made a reservation at White Horse, a venue he highly recommended. As we approached the entrance, I was taken aback to find a doorman checking IDs--a clear indication that White Horse was leaning heavier on the bar side than a dining spot.We settled into the cozy & lively ambiance and toasted to a successful work day with expertly crafted cocktails that set the tone for the evening ahead. Our selections included the indulgent egg n' chips, the delectable crab dip, a perfectly cooked salmon, and a succulent duck breast.Although the website and branding may lead one to expect an elevated dining experience rather than a bar and restaurant combination, we found ourselves pleasantly surprised by the quality of both the food and the service. While the initial shock of the doorman's presence may have caught us off guard, it served as a fitting introduction to the unique charm of White Horse--a place where bar seamlessly intertwines with culinary excellence.Though the details of dessert escape my memory, I recall it being nothing short of delicious--a fitting end to a memorable dining experience. Overall, our evening at White Horse was a delightful adventure that left us eager to return and explore more of what this hidden gem has to offer.

Never had a bad cocktail here, expert bartenders who can make incredible craft drinks on the fly. food is delicious, servers are so sweet, attentive, and professional. Extra bonus points for well maintained gender neutral bathrooms, with nice thick paper towels.

Mediocre food...just completely disappointed! I had read such great reviews so we decided to have lunch here. I definitely do not understand the hype. Spend your money elsewhere.

Delicious does not describe. Whitehorse is our go to when in Salt Lake. It’s classy, beautiful, great drinks and great food. Especially the clam chowder.
