I had a horrible experience here. I came here every weekend and suddenly they would not allow me in even through I am a legal adult and come here every weekend. I am 24 years old and they won’t let me in. I feel so disrespected and to the people I was with who got associated with this. The bouncer was “Sam” who did not let us in, whom I would discuss your terms with. Unless I am compensated for this disrespect, I do not wish to ever return.
I had a great time at the drag show. It was so much fun.
The place is amazing and I made a new friend with a few of the bartenders, maddie is one of the bartenders, and she's amazing
A gay bar that really doesn’t feel like one, it was filled with college age straight boys and girls. It’s just weird that you go to a gay bar and feel like you can’t openly kiss a guy, was also told by a bartender that it was nice to see two guys holding hands… um hello? it’s a gay bar! The $15 door cover charge was also pretty ridiculous and it’s cash only which is unheard of these days. I really want to like it I think the silent disco is a fun option but this doesn’t truly feel like a space for the lgbtq. It seems like they just take advantage of their money. You can’t control who goes but add more pride flags and gay art inside all over especially downstairs.
Drinks and service were both AMAZING! Such a fun place! This was my first time and I will definitely be back!!
Be prepared to spend around a hundred dollars. The show was so fun though and I will never regret suporting my local queens. Definitely recommend a seat in the middle as you can see the queens vogue and duck walk n such. Also pregame and eat beforehand if you want to save money.
Went for drag brunch on Sunday of Pride weekend and had a blast!
I usually love WhyKiki, but I may stop coming on the weekends after tonight. To be clear: I have always had wonderful experiences with the staff and I love all the performances I've seen including the drag shows, burlesque show, and comedy shows!
This review is really for the shift in demographic that I've noticed (which I know WhyKiki can't really control.)
There are a lot of blatantly rude, disinterested college-age kids that don't seem to care or understand that they are in a gay bar. I've been here many, many times--and while there's always a few people that seem a little bit confused, or uncertain in how to engage, there seems to be have been a very big shift lately. The majority of people seemed to be totally uninterested in the drag show (even the people sitting at the tables ) the music, or in engaging with the lgbt+ community in a respectful way here.
The amount of rude comments I not only overheard but also received really damaged how I feel about this place. It sadly reminds me of how Jam felt back in the day right before it closed for good, for those that remember.
I'll try again during the week, but I just don't feel very comfortable here after tonight. I'm very glad that the staff were kind, thank you for always making it the best experience you can despite how busy it gets.
Why are you charging a cover fee? Packed way beyond capacity, huge safety issue and fire hazard. Smelled like raw sewage mixed with axe body spray in there. The lady collecting the insult of a cover fee called my friends and I a slur as we left. lol hope this place goes belly up immediately.
Fun shows upstairs and silent disco downstairs

It doesn't matter if you have great food or great entertainment. If your service and management or crap it ruins the whole experience! We bought four tables and we returned one that was non-refundable and management still treated us like crap! Oh no! We had one person show up that you've resold our tables to who were loud and obnoxious and ruined the whole show and were told three times to shut up during the show.. But management treated us like crap even though they made double the money!!
Until now everyone has been friendly in Salt Lake and other states. We used our country ID everywhere not issues to get in. Only place in our entire trip who required a physical passport to let us in. Entrance staff wasn’t very welcoming and the place was mostly empty. Wouldn’t recommend this place to overseas visitors go to other very friendly bars instead.

Been going for a long time and it's always been free entry before 10pm. Arrived last night at 9pm and was charged a 10$ cover charge. I asked why it had changed and was told "we open the silent disco at 9pm so we have to start charging a cover fee at 9pm." We walked right up to the silent disco entrance and was told "we're closed." They didn't open until after 9:35/40pm. Unbelievable. I wouldn't be as annoyed if similar interactions didn't happen everytime I went. Many staff members are rude, no matter how kind you try to be to them.
