I walked in and ordered chow mein, they call it "yakisoba" (Chinese restaurant cooking Japanese dishes) having grown up in San Francisco, I know what's good Chinese food and what's not. The noodle needed more oil, the meat was not tender enough and the vegetables were undercooked, this was a shopping mall- food court quality dish.

Place was well put together. Food tastes amazing, dishes are well thought out, place appears externally clean. Old building evident. Also fix the broken window, it makes the building look run down. Fish aquarium and decor was pretty and well planned. Service wasn't necessarily fast or consistent, kinda average friendliness. Food was just a 10 tho great job.

Joy Luck is such an amazing restaurant for anyone that needs gluten free options for Chinese food. Their fried rice is a gluten free recipe so it's always gluten free! They have sweet and sour chicken that takes just like I had it before with that horrible gluten stuff. ;)Dietary restrictions: Gluten free!

We are big fans of Joy Luck. This last time I was disappointed. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and the chicken was sub par. So much of it tasted tough and chewy. Then other pieces were great. Can’t figure that one out. Everything is usually spot on. We’ll keep coming back but I probably won’t order the teriyaki chicken. ☹️

I don’t usually rate places but I have to leave a review because this is the worst Chinese food I’ve had. The Lo Mein tasted bland and the texture was like overcooked ramen. The fried rice was bland and mushy. The orange chicken was dry and had no flavor. Someway, somehow even the beef & broccoli was subpar. The mango chicken was the only thing that had even any remote flavor. I am so confused how this place has good reviews. Perhaps they drop in quality on takeout orders or the cook that day dropped the ball. Either way, I suggest not taking the gamble.

It’s like if Panda Express decided to actually try hard. Everything is very reasonably priced, very tasty, nailed the fried rice. Already have plans to come back in 3 days!

Not sure quite why people have rated this restaurant so high. Our waiter (Daisy) was excellent and the service was fast, but the food was only ok. We had Lemon Chicken (dry and flavorless) and Mongolian Beef (tasty.) The Silver Wrapped Chicken was very good. I'd try other Chinese food places first.

My husband and I have been coming to Joy Luck Sandy,UT location for the last four years. We are forever customers! I’m not one to leave reviews on the Internet, but this place deserves an enormous shout out! if you like Chinese food, wonton soup, a really calm atmosphere where you can enjoy a meal – – this is the place for you! There has not been a single time that we have been to Joy Luck, where we did not absolutely love the food! The spicy wonton soup is AMAZING!! You won’t find anything like it anywhere else, trust me that alone is worth a visit! Their menu offers so much variety, and the food always comes out hot.The service is unmatched at Joy Luck— I’ve never been to a restaurant where they treat you like family. It doesn’t matter if we go in every week, or if it’s been a few months in between visits, everyone at Joy Luck is so kind and caring. You won’t find a more genuine crew!If you are looking for a place to celebrate with family, a place to unwind after a long week, or a place to get some good comfort food (seriously— try the spicy wonton soup!), Joy Luck is the place to go!You seriously can’t go wrong! .I love to order the tangerine crispy beef, ham fried rice, with a house salad (the dressing is THE best), and a bowl of their spicy wonton soup. You can get it with meats, veggies, or just wontons— and they’re all sooo good.My husband loves their teriyaki chicken, and their sesame chicken. We love their cream cheese rangoons and their lettuce wraps.Dietary restrictions: At Joy Luck they are so kind and willing to make you any combination— and tailor what you order. We don’t have any specific dietary needs, but we have enjoyed trying new combinations and asking what the servers favorites are.Parking: Nice big parking lot— plenty of space to park.

We have been coming to Joy Luck for years!! It is our favorite place to get Chinese food here in the valley. I have never tried anything here that wasn’t so tasty. Our go-tos are the creamy egg drop soup, cream cheese wontons, cashew chicken, Cantonese noodles, and the pineapple chicken. So freaking good
